I know some hate the stat but what is Soriano hitting with runners in scoring position? and how many times does runner score from third with one out and him at the plate?

RISP: .222/.339/.411/.751

Soriano has driven in 14 runners in 22 ABs with a runner on third and less than two out.

anyone else find it oddly creepy that there's no wall in parts of the backstop? Looks like people are just sitting on the baseball field back there

Is there a see through fence or is it really completely open?

Seriously?

It's not beyond the realm of implausibility to think the netting could go from the ground up and there's no fence.

you can tell Soriano just doesn't care how bad he is in the field and at the plate. He never tries to correct or improve himself or doesn't feel bad for anything he does or causes. I gurantee most of the game hes just completating what he's going to have for dinner that night.

I feel a gapper here..or maybe just gas

A gapper between Soriano's bat and the ball maybe.

Why don't we trade him?!

Somebody has to be willing to take him in order to trade him.

What if we threw in Miles?

If I offered you a bag of horse crap, and threw in boot to the head, what would you give me in return?

So does Manny Ramirez.

That's why he through his bat into the rack in the dugout. I know his slumps are very, very annoying and he makes a lot of money, but to imply that he doesn't try is a little ridiculous.

As posed though netting/fence meant the same thing. AS indicated by " or is it really completely open?"

I definitely think he tries at the plate, but doesn't look like he tries to change anything with his approach or with his swing

I think I remember Von Joshua working with him on his swing when Joshua was promoted to hitting coach this year.

Honestly, was anyone offering even close to 8/136 for that guy? Why did we give him so much money?

Because at that time, Hendry never thought that the well could possibly run dry. He was like a Beverly Hills Housewife before her hubby finally canceled her credit card.

I get the idea he doesn't think he has to change anything. Like you said, I don't think it is completely a lack of effort, but more stubbornness. If that is the case, maybe a full season of struggling will change his mindset a little bit.

I'm sure Perry did too but he must either not understand or not listen

That's pretty much what I meant. He's to stubborn and selfish to change his game..Even in the field runners take the extra base on him because he just non chalantly jogs over there with no sense of urgency and he still does that. He needs to swallow his pride and start changing things around.

I agree with this.

Um..... because Hendry is an idiot?

It was a poor attempt to make up for not making better signings in years previous (Beltran, Vladdy, etc.)

Basically did the same thing with Milton too.

Cubs actually were not the highest bidder for Kosuke, he took less money to play here

And I thank him for that.
