Don't Cubs still have a game to make-up against the White Sox? What if the division race is so close that it Cubs have to play that game and face Peavy?

Kill me now that would be the worst thing that's ever happened to anything, in history. I don't even want to live anymore.

Ill shoot you if you shoot me, deal?

We need a third party in case one of us misses or is slow on the trigger.

i would rather have not heard peavy went to the white sox. i dont see how what andy originally said was bad. all he said was it wasnt what he wanted to hear. i would much rather peavy still be a padre than white sox.

Why? I'd rather get all the good hitters and pitchers out of the NL or on our team.

I dont think you'll have to worry about it considering the above mentioned scenerio is about as likely as the Cardinals trading us Albert Pujols and Chris Carpenter for Aaron Miles and Aaron Heilman.

i'd rather be DEAD than have peavy be a white sox (sock?).

The worst part of it is having to deal with the fans. You wouldn't know because you don't live in Chicago.

Yes, I am kidding...

The bodies with heroin needles in their foreheads would be piling up on Jim Hendry's doorstep if such a horrible day happened.

The streets outside of Wrigley will make Jonestown look like an adorable slumber party when he's introduced.

4:12pm: Peavy's agent, Barry Axelrod, told Tom Krasovic that his client accepted the deal because there was no guarantee that the Cubs and Dodgers, Peavy's preferred teams, would have made a move for the righty in the offseason. Axelrod knows Peavy's contract no longer looks like a bargain, so he's surprised the White Sox made the deal.

"Frankly I am flabbergasted that the White Sox would want to make this deal with him in his physical condition," Axelrod said.

At least he's honest.

Other than the White Sox game, what other games do Cubs have to make-up that haven't been rescheduled yet?

That's it. They've already played the rescheduled Braves, Astros and Cardinals rainouts.

That is priceless. But Jake, was it really that bad being on the Padres that you didn't want to see what might happen 4 or 5 months from now.

Since he was traded early in a long term deal, can he become a free agent after next year? But then again, with as much money as he is going to get why worry about becoming a free agent.
