What's your favorite Sub?

For me, its Charlie's Steak and Cheese Sub with lettuce, pickle, extra onions and south west sauce. =P~

Of the ones I've had, which aren't many of those, I like Jimmy John's the most, rather easily. Quizno's Chicken Carbonara, though, is yummy. Subway is not too bad either.

I've only had a couple of those, but Firehouse has awesome subs. The bread is lightly toasted and warm, and they use a lot of meat and cheese. They don't skimp on it like Subway does. Firehouse also has great sweet tea. I don't usually get a drink when I go out to eat (I usually get water), but Firehouse is the one place that I get the combo so I can get their sweet tea.

Philly's Best has the best cheese steak around Chicago. I really wish I could go to Philly to sample the real thing. As for your deli style sub, I'd have to agree with Potbelly's for the chain stores, but there a lot of hole in the wall places that make some great damn subs with the freshest meat and veggies and great bread (which is very very important for a good sub). Subway went down in my book a lot when the quality of their bread went downhill. I still eat there from time to time, but their bread is really dry now, making the sandwhich meh.

I prefer a poboy to a sub, and the best poboys come from a place called Rays PeGes right here in Monroe. Unless of course you like a shrimp poboy, which I do, and then the best shrimp poboy in town is at Portico or Trios.

I haven't had many of the listed subs, but of the ones I've had, Firehouse is easily the best.

Quizno's and Subway are also quite good (Quizno's moreso), but Firehouse is terrific.

I haven been to half those places, but I have to go with Subway. Quizno's would get the nod for appetizing me with the description of the sandwich the most, only so serve me something different and gross.

I have eaten at Quizno's 3 or 4 times, and each time it was nasty. Maybe I just have bad luck.

I haven't heard of half of these. If they aren't chains, they probably aren't going to win. You should probably do separate ones for local and chains.

Since I just had a Quiznos Carbanara last night, I'll go with them.

I've been eating more Subway than anything recently, but that's just because Firehouse isn't around where I work.

I should also throw out a mention to Blimpie's - there aren't many around here, but the times I've had it, it's been very good.

Haha, they are all chains to some extent, however some of them are smaller chains that don't make it to Cali.

Oh. Okay. The California contigent probably hasn't eaten at about 6 of those on the list. Maybe more. The list should still be modified, otherwise it won't give you a very accurate poll.

I voted Quiznos, although they're ridiculously expensive. When I splurge on one of their prime rib subs, though ... wow!

Like others have said, I haven't had some of the places listed. Isn't Publix a supermarket? I can buy subs at Kroger and Walmart, but I'd rather go to the deli can buy the stuff to make my own. For fellow Peoria-area locals on here, I'll toss out Avanti's and their Gondola. I used to like Jimmy John's but then I started wondering why they like to put alfalfa sprouts on some of their sandwiches and haven't been back since.

Every time I see a Quizno's commercial on TV I throw up in my mouth a little

The commercials from 5 years ago with the little rodents cracked me up. I'm not sure why.

Every choice on this pole is not only a chain, but a major chain. Zero's is the only choice I expect wouldnt be to popular among people in the mid west. I see where I messed up. I assumed that all Cubs fans where in Chicago. How one could have the Dodgers and Angels and be a Cubs fan is beyond me. A little Cub/Card friendly humor there. :P I see that many of you live out west?? I wouldnt have expected that, and that is why these places are unknown to you.

You don't decide your allegiance or give up your allegiance based on where you move to.

Oddly enough, also, is that you are not forever confined to a certain part of the country for the remainder of your natural life. They make cars, trucks, buses, boats, trains and planes for navigating yourself and your belongings to parts unknown.

Not only are there Cub fans out west, I heard there were a couple of them out east and a bit south, too.
