Big Ten win motherfuckers.

Battle is a stud and I love watching him play. But what happened down the stretch today was the exact same thing that happened last year. He just drives to the lane and gets a call no matter what when it's crunch time. The rest of their team looked much worse than last year though.

so it's customary to let them celebrate for 15 minutes after a made basket and a foul?

Yet Paul got a technical for something. On the replay I couldn't see what it was, but assume it had to be awful.

9 for [expletive] 19 from the free throw line. We had a 93 percent shooter miss two FTs in a row and their 51 percent FT shooter made two in a row, on a 1 and 1 no less. Cuse is now a must-win.

Texas in OT against Texas A&M on ESPNU right now.

Way too many mistakes, but the FT shooting and rebounding got them the win. It's nice to be able to win games against ranked opponents when you still make way a ton of mistakes on both sides of the ball (turnovers and stupid slaps on layups under the basket).

Well Purdue has all but shot themselves in the foot when it comes to winning the regular season title. Three losses and still have to go to Illinois, play MSU twice and all that.

Anyways what I was really wanting to post is I am pretty sure Moore will go pro. He is just beasting this season. He is a great driver and 3-pt shooter and has improved his jumper. He has really become an all around player as he does well defensively. I think he will probably go 10-20 in the draft right now.

No way in the world were the Illini going to win but, the shoving and pushing of Tisdale was a bit over the top, MSU should have been called on it once or twice.

Hey we battled them at least. I came away a little excited about Tyler Griffey, just wish that someone would find Mike Davis from last year.

he's a soft jump shooter that gets by on athletic ability and shooting touch. he's easy to shut down because he can't put the ball on the floor at all at this point. he needs to work on aspects of his game because teams have figured him out.

True, but even the jump shot has gone away. I could live with what he was doing now if he was still making a decent clip of jump shots.

Minnesota @ Indiana in OT right now on the Big Ten Network. The best part though is that Gus Johnson is announcing the game. Go turn it on.

Gus was certainly in midseason form. I'm glad I finally get to hear him call a Northwestern game on Tuesday evening @ Ohio State.

That was a pretty good example why nearly 2 minutes and 30 seconds left is a tad too much time to try and just run out the clock without running any offense with a 2 possession game.

Just wanted to say that IU is tied with Purdue in the Big 10 standings.

Kidding aside, this team is slowly making progress. Losing Creek was bad, but it is nice to see them do well without him. They will most likely continue to lay an absolute turd in every road game this year, but should be competitive with most other teams at home.

It is funny because it is true. :-)) Of course it won't last long.

Agreed, today was a good sign of progress. I really did not think we could beat Minnesota. Good win. Well, every win is a good win right now. \:D/

Eh, I don't know. Everytime I think they are making progress, they take a step backwards. They did just lose by 24 a few days ago. Before that, they blew a double digit lead at home and lost. If they can continue to get this type of effort at home and steal a couple of road wins, I'd be satisfied with this season. For that to happen, IU has to take care of the ball more consistently, rebound like they did today, and make some damn free throws.

After Iowa next weekend, IU's home schedule is Purdue, Michigan St, Ohio St, Wisconsin and Northwestern. I'd like to win at least 6-8 conference games, which means at least 4 more from somewhere. If we can get both vs. Iowa and keep Penn St down this weekend, then I'd like our chances to take at least 1 of those home games. Of course, a win at PSU and home win vs. Iowa would mean 4-3 in conference and 3 straight, which would be a huge boost. In that case, just 2 more wins could be a sign that things aren't going as well as they need to be.
