Mizzou blows a 7 point lead with under a minute to go to Texas Tech but still wins in OT. Ugly, but I can't complain about road wins.

This will probably be the norm in the Big 12 this season. They need to sweep this pair against OU and Nebraska. That three game stretch with KU, OSU and A&M is brutal.

Road games in the Big 12 are going to be pretty brutal this year.

Northwestern will not get a more winnable game all Big Ten season, and that includes Iowa at home. Wisconsin looked bad out there. NU did everything conceivable to lose that game from start to finish and Wisconsin finally decided to do something in the last 4 minutes. 7 missed FTs, just 1 steal, a ridiculous number of offensive rebounds allowed immediately followed by wide open, uncontested shots. Unbelievable.

NU started out the Big Ten slate with Illinois, MSU, Michigan, and Wisconsin. If you asked me before the start of the Big Ten season what their record would be after 4 games, I would have said 1-3. And that's right where they are.

1-3 isn't a bad record at this point and the rest of this month is going to be brutal, but it was still a very, very winnable game. The kind of game that they really need to take advantage of if February's schedule is going to be meaningful.

It's also disheartening to see how poorly things have gone so far. They've played one good half against Illinois (and lost) and one good half against Michigan (and won). Two stinkers at home, though.

Woooo!!! Not going win less in the Big Ten!!!

Man, it's depressing I'm celebrating their, probably, lone win in the B10.

Mizzou loses in Norman, ugh. Rimmed out way to many looks, and then Hightower made sure there wasn't any comeback in the last minute. Week off before a home game against Nebraska, take care of business and it's 3-1 heading into Lawrence.

Feb 28.

I'm not sure Iowa can do it twice. Although if Aaron Fuller can keep up what he's done the last two games, they do have a chance.

phew. I couldn't remember if Michigan played today or not so when I saw your post I assumed the worst. Thank God we didn't lose to Iowa (no offense)

Dear Big Ten officials,

Michigan State is good, they don't need you to give them every call. Thanks.

I'm so surprised to see the Big Ten officials favor the home team. They never do that.

Glad to see Griffey finally being used by Weber. I like what Ive seen so far from him this year

I agree, I believe had he not gotten sick early on he would have played more.

My beef with the officials in 3 of the conference games for Northwestern so far has been the ridiculous lack of consistency from the 1st half to the 2nd half. It was especially bad against Wisconsin on Wednesday night where they barely called anything for the first 20 minutes and called everything imaginable for the last 20 minutes.

I'd just like to see some younger officials worked in. It's a fast paced games played by young kids, yet they have 50 year old, out of shape guys as referees.
