Purdue down 16 in the second half and they win by 8. They were in danger of being run out of the building at one point. I think maybe Alabama wore themselves out with the constant press.

Pac 10 is 8-25 against top 100 teams (Pomeroy)

 

They also have 2 losses to teams outside the top 200.

Those 8 wins are against Murray State, Iowa State, Pacific, Wright State, Belmont, Montana, George Washington and Louisiana Tech. The best team in that list is likely Iowa State.

 

According to Sagarin ratings, the Pac-10 is 0-16 against the top 50. (SEC 6-13, Big 12 7-5, Big Ten 10-12, Big East 14-10, ACC 10-13...A-10 2-16, Big West 1-11, Colonial 1-14, CUSA 1-8, Horizon 1-13, MVC 2-6, MWC 3-3, WCC 4-9, WAC 1-13)

Palm's RPI sees Conference USA and the Mountain West ahead of the Pac-10.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking when they finally go the lead back. Almost turned it off, glad I didn't.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking when they finally go the lead back. Almost turned it off, glad I didn't.

 

The last time I turned the game in disgust was the Illinois-Arizona Elite Eight game in 2005.

 

Fortunately, I turned it back a few minutes later. I don't do that much anymore.

Indiana gave it a good effort today. They shot lights out in the 1st half to stay in the game and then in the 2nd half they managed to keep the score from getting too far out of hand once UK took control. Big game for Maurice Creek. Getting killed on the boards was a huge factor of course. UK just has so much talent & size compared to us right now.

Frank Martin is an incompetent boob. Real nice win though.

I still don't get your basis for this opinion. What has he done that makes you think that. I love him. Hell of a coach, gets everything he can out of his players.

He's done a pretty good job at KState in my opinion.

Frank Martin is terrible, he's done nothing and he is nothing.

He beat Kansas at home for the first time since any of us were born. That's something.

Temple upset #3 Villanova.

 

Nova had an upset or two coming. They really haven't looked all that impressive.

They shoot way too many threes. They seem to be turning into a better version of Duke.

A below average St. Joe's team had them on the ropes before they drained a couple of threes in the late going a few nights ago.

I think it was because Alabama was blinded by the prestige of Purdue basketball.

I don't know about that, but the young men are still learning CAG's up-tempo style offense. So I agree with Smack, as I think Purdue waiting till Bama wore themselves out and took advantage. Bama has improved from last season but they are still a long way from competiting.

This has been a really crappy weekend for the entire conference. Think CBS wants a 'flex' option for that craptastic UCLA/ND game they are airing next Saturday afternoon?

It's not a total lost weekend for the conference yet. DePaul is playing UIC as we speak!
