But Tijan Jobe will be gone by then.

According to this, that might be exactly what IU needs. :D This is from Crean on the indystar blog talking about an injury to Rivers:

Again, Tijan caught somebody. I don't know what we're going to do with him. You can put a yellow jersey or a red jersey like they do in football on everybody, but we've got to put Tijan in some of the drills, and he does have the ability to hurt his teammates. I know he doesn't mean to, but goodness, gracious. We had a lot of firsts for the program last year, and obviously we had a lot of those firsts here at Indiana, but I've never been somewhere where a teammate knocks somebody out during warm-ups, like what Tijan did to Daniel Moore before the Minnesota game. That doesn't happen very often. Tijan is a great kid, he is just not aware of his size and strength some times."

So I hadn't read a lot about Sandi Marcius yet. After doing so I am very excited to see him play. He has size at 6'10" 240lbs and supposedly is very athletic and able to shoot from 15 feet. He's raw and new to the U.S. but seems to have the potential to be great.

CubbieBum, Purdue just got a verbal from the top point guard out of Ohio for 2012. Does this mean you've cooled on Randle?

I highly doubt it. Molock is in the 2012 class, Randle the 2011. Randle's class is the important one because that is when Hummel, Moore and Johnson all leave. We need to get some scorers in that class that can contribute right away. Also Painter is the one recruiting Randle and he only goes for the top recruits that he wants most.

I'm aware of their class years. We are a player for Randle as well.

Marcus Jordan is refusing to wear adidas, the company that has a $3 mil contract with UCF, because he only wants to wear his dad's shoes. Looks like a potential head case. I understand wanting to honor your dad but come on.

Not a headcase, just spoiled.

same thing

I guess it's semantics, but I usually equate "headcase" with someone who can't handle pressure from the media, fans, and his teammates. Say, if Jordan had said "I can't play well unless I wear Jordan-brand shoes."

Who knows? He's an idiot either way. He's already playing in his dad's shadow as "Jordan's kid." To draw attention to himself so negatively is just plain foolish.

Apparently the school promised him during the recruiting process that he could wear his Nike's. If they had an agreement and the school is pulling a bait and switch, I don't blame him for taking a stand.

I would be pleasantly surprised if Johnson is back for his senior season.

True but got to see how the season goes first. He didn't have too great of season until the end when he stepped up big time. If he picks up where he left off then yeah he's gone for sure.

Any predictions on preseason all Big Ten?

I would say Johnson and Hummel would both likely be on there along with Evan Turner. After that I would say Manny Harris is a near lock and Kalin Lucas will probably make it because you have to have a MSU player. Talor Battle deserves it but I doubt he makes first team.

G Manny Harris

G Kalin Lucas

F Evan Turner

F Robbie Hummel

C JaJuan Johnson

That should be the first team. It might not be, but it should be.

Mike Davis is not first team. I can see Battle on there but not Davis. He is a decent scorer and good rebounder but does little else. Doesn't block shots, doesn't get steals, can't shoot from out ... etc.

"We will be a program rooted in integrity and run with class," he said.

Just like everywhere else Calipari has been...or every other coach at Kentucky.

The money will be repaid, nobody will question where the money came from, and Wall will miss a couple games against SW Baptist and Elon.

Morningstar at KU has charges dropped in his DUI case as long as he doesn't get in any trouble the next 12 months.
