Did anyone see Boras' reaction at the press conference where he was crying? I don't think I'm buying his performance

 

A wannabe Jerry Maguire moment if I've ever seen one. I don't think Boras could give you a handshake without running an ROI analysis beforehand.

You've gotta be kidding me. 1 beer on a 6'3, 205 frame doesn't impair anything.

And you've never known anyone who can be a calculating, manipulative individual in his professional life, but a caring compassionate individual outside the office? People are assuming Boras put on a show because he makes a lot of money.

This is also taken with the assumption that you actually know Boras and what he is like. Boras doesn't have the best image, but your are also talking about the tragic death of a kid. The fact that you can make this sure of a judgment on someone you don't know shows your character as well. If the story of Adenhart can bring people who never knew him to tears, I am pretty sure it can his agent as well.

That is my argument as well. I have never even cried at a movie, and don't have any person connection to Nick Adenhart, (except that I saw him pitch once in CR), and I seriously broke down today listening to Hannah Storm on ESPN talk about Nick's dad. I'm pretty sure no matter how big of a monster Boras is as an agent, he probably is hurting pretty bad as a person right about now.

I think there should absolutely be mandatory minimum sentencing for alcohol/drug related traffic violations if your BAL is above a certain level (not .08). I'm tired of seeing drunk drivers kill pedestrians and get out of jail after just a couple of years.

 

If you make the penalties extreme for the violations, you'll make people think twice about doing it. There are some European countries where DUI convictions are several years in jail. Would you risk driving home "kinda buzzed" if it meant 3-5 years in prison?

If you run over a pedestrian while driving drunk in Belgium, you can be sure you're going to prison for a few years.
