Adenhart (Angels) Killed after game in wreck

And I thought I was cynical.

This is a kid that Boras knew since he was 17-18 years old, he watched him grow up, mature, and reach the majors, and now he's seen that all taken away from him. He's not a soulless emotionless droid, he's a human being.

Please. You've never known anyone who sees everything through the prism of personal income? This country's full of them. It doesn't necessarily make him soulless, and I'm sure he felt some grief, but let's not pretend there was no calculation on his part.

This is also taken with the assumption that you actually know Boras and what he is like. Boras doesn't have the best image, but your are also talking about the tragic death of a kid. The fact that you can make this sure of a judgment on someone you don't know shows your character as well. If the story of Adenhart can bring people who never knew him to tears, I am pretty sure it can his agent as well.

The last thing I need is someone like you casting aspersions on my character. You think Boras is Mr. Smith, fine.

So is that really any different that what you are doing with Boras? I think its very very possible that Boras has a strong relationship with many of his clients. If you want to believe that Boras woke up, saw the news and it had no effect on him what so ever, then started to think about how he can personally milk the situation for his own personal gain, then I feel sorry you.

I have no sympathy for people driving over the legal limit simply because of how much it takes to get there.

I'm 21, 6'1", 282. I'm a big guy. And I'm a college student, so I drink a lot and my tolerance is high. Let's say I drink from 10 p.m. to bar close (2 a.m.) -- four hours -- According to the chart (obviously, can never be completely accurate), I can have 10 drinks and be under the legal limit (I'd be at .069).

To be THREE TIMES over the legal limit, I'd need 20 drinks in 2 hours.

Look at the chart then consider defending someone driving drunk. To be over a .008 you need to consume a lot of alcohol, to even think about driving over the legal limit and especially three times over is completely idiotic.

Also, the ripping on hawkeyecub is completely unfounded. Three beers won't do anything for anyone, even if you're drinking for the first time ... although I'd doubt you could finish them as you won't like the taste.

Rest In Peace.

You are wrong. If I go a couple weeks without a drink, 3 beers absolutely can "do something". And there's no doubt it would affect my wife or somebody else smaller than me.

People need to stop drinking and driving, and they need to stop attempting to justify their drinking and driving. It does not matter if you are more or less impaired than somebody texting on their phone, you shouldn't be texting or drinking and driving.

Being absolutist about it solves nothing. I had 2 beers yesterday from 4-6. I drove home at 8:30.

You really think there's a problem with that?

Next time you do it, flag down a cop and find out. If you can pass all the tests, you're cool with me.

He'd probably tell me to stop wasting his time.

I wish i was 900 pounds. I could drink 20 beers in less than an hour and drive home just fine.

Then, as I said, we are cool.

Follow the law. It's really that simple.

Ugh, this jack ass lives in the next town over from me, apparently.

Suspended license, never completed his previous alcohol training program, hit and run, etc. I hope they lock him up and throw away the key.

I thought you meant that the drunk driver's step-dad was a regular poster.

I passed my first and only field sobriety test during the south side parade in evergreen park! No, I was not driving
