Lawson and Ellington have officially declared. Not a shock, but they sure will be missed. I'd guess Ellington most likely looks to be a solid role player off someone's bench. Lawson on the other hand could be a very solid PG for someone, he's just the fastest player with the ball in the draft which makes up for his lack of height.

Craig Brackins staying at Iowa State

I thought he would declare without an agent to test the waters, but I'll take it. If he improves as much this year as he did from last year he could get himself into the lottery.

So for someone who doesn't follow the NBA Draft pretty much at all, what are the chances that someone takes DeMarre Carroll or Leo Lyons? I figure DeMarre is a much better bet than Leo, since he's much more polished at this point.

Draft Express doesn't have either getting picked right now, and they have 11 Internationals going in the 2nd round.

The less reliable NBADraft.net has Lyons going at 44 and Carroll at 53, and they have 4 Internationals going in the 2nd round.

Haha, Kings don't get a top-3 pick.

The Clippers were probably the team that needed Griffin the least. I mean, Griffin will be the best PF on their team, but they have decent depth there with Zebo, Camby and Kaman all with the ability to play that position. Here's hoping this means Kaman is available for the Bulls to consider. Not a bad 3rd option for PF/C this summer.

Not a bad 3rd option for PF/C if you remove the fact that he's owed $10.4 million, $11.3 million, and $12.2 million for the next three years.

16. Chicago: DeJuan Blair

Position: PF

Height: 6-10

Weight: 245

Age: 20

School: Pittsburgh

Analysis: I think the Bulls will do backflips if Blair falls this far. They have the athleticism of Tyrus Thomas, the energy of Joakim Noah and the skills and size of Brad Miller on their front line. If they could add Blair's toughness and offensive rebounding, the Bulls would have an answer to every front line in the league.

26. Chicago (via Denver): Toney Douglas

Position: SG

Height: 6-2

Weight: 205

Age: 23

School: Florida State

Analysis: The Bulls face the real possibility of losing Ben Gordon this summer, and Douglas has some similar abilities as a dynamic scorer and shooter. And, unlike Gordon, he won't cost a lot of money and be discontented coming off the bench.

Blair wouldn't be 6'10" if he was standing on Levance Field's beer belly.

Haha, well done.

I would take all 6'7" of Blair at 16, though.

We need Blair for the defensive glass, not offense. Bulls are one of better offensive rebounding teams in the league because of Jo. It's Tyrus' selling out on every block shot and general stupidity that makes them a poor defensive rebounding team.

Blair would be a godsend at 16. I'd be surprised if he fell that far and wouldn't be at all opposed to jumping up to grab him. That's assuming no Bosh/Amare type deal of course.

I bet you loved seeing Hansbrough going higher than Lawson in that mock.

I think Eric Maynor is a potential steal in this draft. He won't be a star in the league, but I don't know who will be in this draft other than Griffin. I think he's the most ready of all players to step in and start for a team. He'll give a team a steady traditional point guard with an outstanding mid-range game and variety of ways to get his shot off in the lane. He could be a great pick-n-roll PG as he can take it up a gear and get in the lane and has pretty good passing ability.

I would be happy with the Pacers getting him. Resigning Jarrett Jack is up in the air and TJ Ford is erratic. If he falls to 13 I bet Bird pounces on him. Jrue Holiday is another option. They also need a PF though, in which case the Pacers will pick up Blair before he gets to the Bulls.
