I don't know, every time I've seen Harden play I've come away pretty unimpressed. Like IMB said, I think any other year he'd be a back-end lottery pick. He's fortunate that this year is a pretty weak class. I'm sure he'll be a decent player in the league, but I definitely don't see a guy that can score 20 points a night.

Something just kind of turns me off when a bigger guard can't make a long-range jumper on a consistent basis. And Raisin, didn't you say before that Harden benefited from a lot of 'star' calls from Pac-10 refs?

Would someone please tell me why the eff Eric Devendorf thinks he can leave early and play in the NBA?

Every junior should apply for the draft. You get to once while being allowed to come back. Plus part of the process is the scouts meet with you to let you know what you need to work on at the end. It allows you to get good feedback and get your name out there. Plus you get to play against some great players. But, yeah he isn't ever going to be a pro.

Right, but I thought I heard he was expected to hire an agent.

Well then he's an idiot.

So did Brandon Roy, OJ Mayo and Kevin Love. That shouldn't deter you from drafting him high.

I don't know where this idea that James Harden can't shoot is coming from. He's probably one of the 5 best shooters in the entire draft and certainly near the top among guys who project as more than spot up type guys.

35 percent from the college 3point line, really lighting it up

Well he's not the best long distance spot up shooter--then again, I doubt there are many examples of one of the better 2 guards in the league being the best 3 point shooters. Those are almost always just role type guys. But Harden is definitely a good shooter and in terms of overall shooting ability (midrange, off the dribble, 3 point) he's ahead of all the other 2 guards I can think of. Henderson comes close maybe.

But I like Henderson more than a lot of other guys too.

The rumors around Lawrence are that Collins and Aldrich will both return.

Kind of surprises me about Collins. He's a junior. Why not throw your name in the ring, just to test the waters?

While DeJuan Blair has not signed with an agent, he has signed a marketing deal with a local attorney, so his eligibility is lost.

Because he idolizes Casey Jacobsen?

I'm confused. You think someone's paying him to stay in school?

If you don't hire an agent, don't you have to pay your way through the camps? I might be wrong

Oh, I see. Dunno about that.

Good, he only got to steal half a Big East POY award before leaving.

You think he wasn't deserving? You could argue he changed how the other team played more than anyone. He also averaged the most blocks per game in Big East history and considering Ewing, Deke and Mourning all played in the Big East that's saying a lot.

If you are horrifyingly bad at half the game, you can't be player of the year.

And he got totally schooled - twice - by the guy he 'shared' the award with.
