Alright, something is wrong. I don't think I've recovered from the embarrassment that was last season's playoffs. I did not watch a single spring training game and I honestly didn't know opening day was Monday. What is wrong with me?

Does anyone else see the irony of a mod on a Cubs message board not knowing when opening day is. :D

Nice video!

What's the name of that song? I know I've heard it before...

Metallica's "That Was Just Your Life" off the new album.

It's about time Baseball starts back up!!!

A couple of writers on espn and CNNSI are picking the Cubs to go all the way... Been there, done that!

I'm somewhat glad it's a night game. Usually I skip my day of classes to watch opening day, but I don't have to do that this time. Unfortunately, I have to go to class.

I took off work to watch the games, then got pressed into newspaper service for tomorrow. Luckily it's an early afternoon game that I'm covering so I should still be able to catch the game.

Not really excited for this year, I'm going to be honest. Except Milton Bradley. I want to see that man rake. Otherwise I expect the bullpen to be terrible, the starting staff to be below average, ok defense and real good offense. Meh. If we had Peavy I would be considerably more siked.

Or maybe the game got cancelled within the last 15 minutes.

I plan on watching the game with my 5-month-old son. I'm excited that I can share our first Opening Day together with him. He won't understand what's going on, nor will he be interested, but I still plan on having him on my lap, explaining the game to him. I hope he grows up to be a baseball fan.

I can't find the rationale for expecting the bullpen to be terrible and starting staff to be below average.

You either bet that something will happen more times than the stated number (over) or less times than the stated number (under).

The Cubs need to put a thorough beating on the Astros. I just had to put up with an hour of incessant whining about the Miller Park games yet again. So sick of hearing about something that the Cubs had no part in deciding.

Hooray for night game and ESPN. If it were a day game I'd have to miss it for class - as i can't skip that class, and if it were only on CSN my stupid freaking dorm wouldn't carry it. Thus, hooray on all counts.

In all honesty, this is the least excited I've ever been for opening day. We'll see if it changes before Monday.

Same here. I'm not sure if it's just the heartbreak of the past two years or if there are other factors.

Agree.

I'm really underwhelmed with excitement for tomorrow. I mean, sure it'll be nice to watch Cubs baseball again (maybe), but I can hardly say I'm excited.

What a bunch of sucks. It's baseball, for God's sake. Stop embarassing yourselves.

Attached to your post there are pictures including Rod Blagojevich, George Bush, and Dusty Baker. I feel that I'm doing pretty good
