If Arizona wins, the "Top 5 longest championship droughts in North American pro sports" list has lost three members in the last four years.

Yep.

I have to say this worked out nicely for me. The Ravens fans can go back into hiding and the Eagles fans are left to whine about not getting the pass interference call.

It's also the best matchup with the good offense and decent defense vs. Good defense and decent offense. Haven't seen the early line but I'm guessing it's Steelers by 8.5 with the number in mid 40s.

I think this could actually turn out to be a really fun, competitive Super Bowl. Whisenhunt facing his former team will obviously get some play in the media. And Kurt Warner reviving his career and getting back to a Super Bowl 7 years after his last appearance. But the guy who I really feel good for and am pulling for? Edgerrin James. I think it is very cool that after being benched most of the regular season that he got to play more in the playoffs and used his fresh legs to make an impact. And now he gets to actually play in the Super Bowl himself after being let go by Indy right before they finally broke through. It was cool that Jim Irsay gave Edge a ring anyways but seeing him get the chance to earn his own ring is cool to me.

The one on 4th-and-10 where even if they get the call, they still need half the field just to get the tying (not winning) score. They can shut up.

once the game starts, i'll probably root for the cardinals, but in the mean time, i hope kurt warner loses because he's such an annoying old geek

I think Larry Fitzgerald has become one of my 3 favorite players in the league.

Agreed. He's the best WR in the league, and finally getting the attention he deserves.

Yeah, I don't see how you can say it's a giant turd of a game. I'm not sure there was any team in the league this year who was super exciting every week, much less two. I like the Steelers, and the Cards are a good story and a team that is peaking at the right time.

Any word on Hines Ward? If he's out for the game, that could definitely make a big difference.

He says he's fine.

Ward said it was “a little sprain” and that he wouldn’t miss Super Bowl XLIII against the Arizona Cardinals on Feb. 1 in Tampa.

Looked like it hurt like hell...

I guess I'll pull for the Cardinals in this thing. As a Saints supporter, I have kind of a kindred spirit with their fans I suppose.

I'm pulling for Pittsburgh just for the crap of it.

I'm pretty convinced the Titans crapped away a Super Bowl appearance with their turnovers against Baltimore, though. And that makes it all the more frustrating.
