According to http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnation?tag=nfc%20draft%20analysis%2009 the Bears were considering taking Michael Mithcell at #49 until Oakland picked him at 47???

If you don't recall, Mitchell was the guy who had a 7th round/UDFA grade according to Kiper and supposedly a lot of personnel types.

Sounds similar to the Titans' selection of William Hayes last year. Granted Hayes was taken in the 4th round, but they traded up to get him. Most experts (Mayock, Kiper and McShay included) didn't have him being drafted.

Hayes appears to have been worth the pick, though.

Chase Daniel signs with Washington. He'll have a chance to compete for a spot there with Colt Brennan.

Word on the street is that the Bears have been in talks with Missouri backup QB Chase Patton. No idea if it's true or not though.

Well with the 49ers having just one more pick I got to say I'm as happy as I could be.

Crabtree - Best player in the draft

Coffee - Allows us to have a really dominant run game with him and Gore

McKillop - Big East Player of Year that tested much faster and more athletic than expected

Davis - As a soon to be a BSU grad this is probably the happiest I have ever been after a pick

Roscoe - This is only pick I have a problem with. We have Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker why draft a TE?

Taylor - A FS to give us more depth and has the athletic ability to perhaps start someday

how do you decide which teams to root for? cubs, rockets and 49ers???

Cubs I didn't like the Cards and when the '98 race broke out I took the rival. My dad is a Cardinals fan.

Rockets because Barkley is my all-time favorite player and followed him to Houston.

49ers because in 3rd grade I switched schools and the new school I went to was full of 49er fans. I would realize 5 years later that it was because I switched schools in February right after the 49ers last won a Super Bowl.

Of the three the 49ers are easily my favorite team.

I like Jeremiah Johnson. Sign him, Bears.

I wonder if the Bears are going to take another look at Darren Sharper now that they didn't get a starting free safety in the draft. I know that he had some talks with the Bears before the draft and said he would like to play for them.

Anyone want to tell me how many more players the Raiders overdrafted today? As long as it's less then yesterday, I guess it was a successful second day.

I'm also going to guess that the Raiders are one of the biggest losers (if not the biggest) of the draft.

Darren Sharper signed with the Saints, back on the 6th of April.

Hey Graham Harrell! I'll take him over Matt Moore/Josh McCown as our backup QB any day of the week.

I thought Matt Shaughnessy went a round too early, but otherwise no major overdrafts on day 2. Getting Louis Murphy in round 4 was a great value, I thought.

Mel Kiper did say he talked to one team that thought Michael Mitchell was a 3rd round pick and will be a pro bowler for the Raiders. From what I've heard in this thread, that was likely the Bears.

After the Erin Andrews' special with Quan and Bill Cosby and no one has signed the kid yet?

I like Quan too :-(. He's not the biggest or fastest WR ever but does a lot of the little things well. Like Bill Cosby said there is always the CFL or a second run in minor league baseball.
