How does it work when you're first offered? If all they have are terrace reserved, can I buy them and potentially get better seats the next season? Or would I be locked-into those seats.

Are all seats except bleachers and CBOE seats available for seasons?

this is a great question. for those who have season tickets, what types of packages are available? if i were offered a season ticket package, i'm sure i could get a group of friends together to help pay for them.

Bleacher season tickets exist.

Aren't they grandfathered in? I believe they and nights and weekends were both eliminated a bit ago.

i became a season ticket holder last year, section 403, left field corner. this year i moved, relocated to section 412, 8 rows back on the aisle. Each year if seats are available, you can have the chance to move if you want. i have a group of 10 guys total, and we have a ticket draft. then we snake thru the order. I have to say the 403 seats were good, not great. but im really happy with the view from 412... it looks to be a great place to catch a game....im opened for any questions anyone has....

As someone whose family has had season tickets for years, we're frequently given the option to "move up", so to say, in the quality of seats we have. We haven't taken upgrades for a good 15 years, though, since our seats are in a great viewing area and the location is great for many types of weather.

Hey guys,

I am a season ticket holder (sec 404, row 4 seats 1-4) and am looking for folks who want to share the tickets. I have the nights and weekends package.

If you are interested, send me a pm.

Thanks!

Our seats are in section 131, about halfway up. Farthest row up underneath the roof, so that if it's raining or drizzling and the wind isn't howling in from left, we stay dry, and catch shade on day games until about the 7th inning during the summer. Even with the first base bag, good view of the entire field except the far right field corner.

I am a current season ticket holder.

I am not able to use or want to pay for them this year. If any of you are on the wait list and want to get your hands on 4 tickets (sec 404 4th row on the aisle) for the nights and weekends package (all the tickets, playoff ones too) PM me. I'll give them to you for face value.

Last Call!

If you are on the waiting list and chompin' at the bit to get tix, now is your chance.

I will entertain the possibility of partial shares (1/4 for example) too.

Gotta know by Sunday.

Does anybody know when regular season individual game tickets go on sale? I would think soon. I really want to try and get opening day tickets this year.

It's usually around 2/20 if I recall correctly.

I have been a Cubs full season ticket holder for 20 years. This year I am losing up to a third of my group and I am looking for people to replace them. We have four tickets located in Terrace Box Section 216, rows 3 and 4. Our tickets are piggybacked two by two instead of four across. Our seats are behind home plate, just under the second deck overhang and look right down the first base line.

If you are interested in tickets for 2012 in a prime seat location please send me a message.

Thanks

I reached the top of the waitlist! The packet was sent to my parents' house. I remember adding myself when I was much younger, and now I've finally reached the top. However, since I live in KC this year I cannot get them for myself. I want to buy them though so I can have the rights in the future. If there is anybody that would be interested in buying some or all of my tickets PM me. The Cubs will actually allow you to choose the seats on my behalf on January 28. The available sections are Upper Deck Box OF, Terrace Reserved IF, Terrace Reserved OF, Upper Deck Reserved IF, Upper Deck Reserved OF, and Bleachers.

They offer them again, but only for the bleachers.

I understand that Cubs tickets are very profitable on the secondary market. But as true fans, why would you want to commit 82 of your nights a year to baseball? I guess I just work too much to understand. I do however watch every home game from the house while attending 6-10 games a year. (Reds, not Cubs)

I don't think tix on the secondary market have been terribly profitable for a while, save maybe some Sox or Cards games. I signed up thinking I wouldn't be up until I was about to retire and would have more time to go to games. There's no risk in being on the list so who cares.

This is my biggest fear. Although its nice the Red Sox, White Sox, and Cardinals make up 15 of the games on the schedule this season.

I want to grab the rights to these tickets but don't want to take a hit every season for the next few years. I would love to break even and just hold onto my spot as a season ticket holder and be guaranteed a seat when/if they ever play in a WS. Not to mention there is talk of the ASG coming back to Wrigley in the near future.

I'm really surprised I got through this fast. I'm only 23. Really happy my wife is accepting a job offer next week or we probably wouldn't be able to do this.

I wouldn't be surprised. Seasons tickets for baseball are pretty easy to get in general. The idea of a waiting list is pretty new with the Cubs. Lots of people made money selling their seats in 2003 and 2004, and again in 2008, but even more people signed up thinking they could sell for a profit when in fact that market just wasn't there the last couple days. When the Cubs struggle for prolonged periods of time, tickets are incredibly easy to find on the cheap. Everybody wants to be there the year they wind up winning, but if it doesn't look like it's going to happen, the draw just isn't the same.

I moved up exactly 3,000 spots since the update they sent me in October. What's the discount on season tickets vs. sinngle game? If it's substantial, that seems a bit shortsighted to throw away that revenue stream for the guaranteed income by adding 3,000 season tickets while we struggle.

There is no discount. They are the same price.
