I've heard Rose, Tyrus, and Thabo have all been looking good so far.

Good, I've really liked those guys and want them to succeed. (Capt. Obvious, I mean more than, say, Joakim).

I would have to say those are my 3 favorite players plus Luol and Noc when he isn't playing like [expletive].

I would love to see Rose's first dunk come at the expense of Dirk Nowitzki.

TIP TWO: http://www.google.com/

i hope you're putting these in a word document or something

oh crap, tip TWO? I missed tip one. I'll never catch up now.

*realizes he'll never be as cool as Treeman*

Rose looks like he belongs. Great vision and had 3 assists in the first quarter, probably could/should've had 5 (one mishandled alley-oop and Hinrich missed a wide open shot). Also just missed on an alley oop pass to him from Hinrich (he got fouled and made 1/2 FTs).

I'd like to see him attack the basket a little more.

Also, Tyrus looks VERY good. He's hitting jumpers, flying everywhere on defense... made a pair of free throws.

Rest of the team looks like crap.

Larry Hughes needs to stop freaking shooting.

Actually, he needs to stop playing.

Larry Hughes, Ben Gordon, Jalen Rose.....the Bulls always seem to have that guy who goes 9 for 25 from the field but makes their points at the line

That does not describe Ben Gordon at all, but whatever. 47th in 07-08 in FTM/G, 55th in 05-06 and for whatever reason, ESPN is having a difficult time seeing the 06-07 season (yahoo has him at 27th, after searching!).

That is a big knock on Gordon's game is that he doesn't attack the rim at all to get to the line.

I endorse this post.

Rose and Thomas looked very good. Gray looked amazing, but I'm not sure who was playing D on him. I wasn't paying too much attention. Stupid exams.

lol at this post. Yes, let's criticize Gordon when he didn't even play tonight.

I shudder to think how anemic this offense would be without Gordon this year. I actually read some people on RealGM that were saying PPG were overrated and I know wolf on here said that there's more to playing basketball than just scoring points. Yes that's true, but this is the NBA where really the only thing that truly matters is scoring points. If you get rid of Gordon, who was going to pick up the slack for him? Mr. 35% Kirk Hinrich? Or how about Larry Hughes? Don't forget about Chucker Nocioni.

When Gordon was out with the finger/hand injury for a couple of weeks last season, the team couldn't even score over 80 points. Seriously look up the point totals from the games he missed last season. I remember a ton of games where the Bulls struggled to score 70. That's where people should have realized how valuable he really is to this team. He'll never give you the best defense and yes he'll do some dumb things when he has the ball in his hands (which should be limited this year now with Rose). But his offensive totals are superb and he's going to be the major factor as to how far this team will go this year.

I will say it until I'm blue in the face. You cannot win with Ben Gordon as your primary scorer/player.

This team has flaws on offense, no doubt about it, but I am glad he turned down that lucrative extension because his one dimensional play would cripple this team financially.

Probably not but we were only a couple games from reaching the conference finals a year and a half ago. Yeah the Bulls are eventually going to have to add a big-time scorer if they ever want to reach championship-level status. But there's far more things that people should be complaining about on this team than Ben Gordon.

THEY SUCK.

ok ok only kidding. well, kind of. alright.....um, i don't really know yet.

Seriously though, I thought Rose did some decent things. That's all I was really looking for.

The short term success of this team is going to depend on Hinrich. He was awful last year and we consequently had an awful season.

Deng is still only 22 years old. Last year was a bit of an off year for him but he'll rebound. He can be an extremely efficient ballplayer when he's not the focal point.

Longer term is going to depend on TT and Noah. Rose WILL be a superstar. Beasley might be but he screams Shareef Abdur Rahim/Zacn Randolph type to me--big numbers but not a true difference maker.

Gordon is a 6th man. If he can give us 15-20 points off the bench in like 25-30 mins, I'll be happy. He is an awful defender (not to mention undersizes), and the statistics bear it out.

That said, we need him on this team, but he's no star. He's a role player. I think people are right when they say scoring isnt the only thing that matters. They are right. The Bulls need Gordon's points, just like they need Noc's versitility, just like they need Hughes'....umm...expiring contract next year. But Gordon is more or less one dimensional in that respect.

Well, Hinrich is a pretty awful basketball player & lol at the extension Deng got. What a waste of money.

ugggh..I already can't stand Del Negro. He looked like a spectator at a golf tournment last night. Dudes a stiff. It was a huge mistake to let Skiles go.

I tried to say this was a bad idea and got smacked down for it. We'll see. I'm trying to give him a chance, be the good Bulls fan.

It's hard. I don't like him. He'll have to prove it to me with actual wins.
