College Football - Week of 9/20

Not sure what to think of the Hawkeyes so far. They played like absolute dogHowry in the 1st quarter, then dominated the second. Hopefully Stanzi was the reason and it will continue the second half.

PSU came out sleepy but put up a 31 spot in the 2nd quarter.

 

Still not sure what to think of this team. On the one hand, they've played 4 straight patsies. On the other, they are obliterating these teams (unlike OSU struggling with OU and Troy, for example).

 

The defense is really good, and the offense has enough moving parts to keep opposing defenses on their toes. What remains to be seen is how the offense will do against a bonafide defense.

Another banner day for the Big Ten right now. OSU leads Troy 14-10 at halftime, Purdue is tied with Central Michigan and Pitt leads Iowa 14-10. (PSU obviously doing their job.)

 

Let's hope it gets worse later today for the conference. :)

Northwestern is handling Ohio much better than OSU did

Troy has been a really good team under Larry Blakeney for the past few yrs. This a school that has beaten......a Brad Smith lead Missouri team in 2004 AND the Adarius Bowman (his brother Michael just committed to Alabama, after being basically told to "piss off" by GA) lead Oklahoma State Cowboys. So it doesn't surprise me that Troy is giving OSU all that they can handle.

 

 

And have you guys seen what my boys are doing to the red piggies? Apparently Bama felt like Pork Chops and bacon for lunch today.

Way to go Hogs! At least Michael Smith is continuing to kick some ass...nearly 200 total yards from scrimmage. But the defense is just plain horrible so far, and they wont' be able to beat any decent teams without some major fixes on that side of the ball.

Wow. Kevin Craft went 2 WHOLE YARDS past the line of scrimmage and then decided to throw it. I mean, it wasn't even close to the line of scrimmage, it was really obvious. And he had a sure first down if he just held on and ran with it.

Being a MSU fan, I watch the game today just waiting for them to do something to screw up...I dont think we are talented enough to do anything really big, but at least it looks like we wont be throwing games away.
