if the Ohio State game was at home, I think Penn State would have a good shot at winning. They still might.

Sorta glad to see E. Carolina lose; they clearly aren't a top 15 team in the country.

Kirk Ferentz, Ken O'Keefe and Jake Christensen completely lost the game today by themselves.

Absolutely unreal to not go back to Stanzi for one snap in the second half.

I still don't get the Stanzi love. he's really not any better. our offensive line was terrible with their pass protection today, and Pitt had pretty good coverage when either QB was given time to throw. they had no business losing that game today and should have won by at least 10. Shonn Greene should have been given the damn ball on the 2nd to last series instead of passing every down.

Dante Love got knocked out and they brought his family down onto the field. Wow.

Edit - they carted him off but he was talking to the medical people so at least he is awake now. Just taking precautions hopefully.

I couldn't disagree more.

How do you figure Stanzi isn't any better? You really don't notice a HUGE improvement in accuracy and decisiveness between the two? That's absolute craziness. How many bounce passes has Ricky thrown? Many of Jake's completions (2-3 more today) are in bad spots where guys have to slide to catch them.

The o-line wasn't that bad. Jake's lack of decisiveness cost us 2-3 sacks because he got happy feet and panicked.

I figure Stanzi isn't better because he's not. both have been inconsistent to terrible in stretches this season. we must have been watching a different game if you think the o-line wasn't that bad. they did a great job with the run, and I'd give them a D for their pass protection, though it did improve as the game went on

uh oh, lsu's quarterback is a "game manager" (in other words, not a good player)

Yeah, Jarrett Lee is probably better. Charles Scott is a beast though.

Seriously. He gets a full head of steam as soon as he gets the ball.

I know now how Michigan felt last week. We gift-wrapped that game to MSU with a horrible INT thrown by Jimmy in our territory (led to only Sparty TD until the last minute), a stupid Floyd flat-out-dropped-fumble in the MSU red zone that led to a FG for Sparty, and two missed field goals. ND may end up ok this year, but they are far from where they need to be - understandably so since everyone important is a sophomore or freshman.

Ball State-IU is not for old-school Woody Hayes types. 28-20 at halftime, Cards lead. I'm praying for Dante Love, the nation's all-purpose yardage leader, who was carted off the field with what my friend (who has some experience with athletic training) believes may be spinal vertebrae damage. Nate Davis with a ridiculous 45-yard TD throw off his back foot and on the run in the game.

On the IU radio broadcast they said Love had a tingling sensation. They have taken him to Methodist Hospital in Indy. Hopefully he is okay.

Indiana has not lost to a MAC team in a damn long time in football. It's not looking good tonight though and although the Cardinals have a really good team, this loss will just help kill whatever momentum the IU football program was trying to build this season. The casual fans will say "SAME OLD IU" and give up once again.

And the way our defensive front is getting shoved around by BSU, I fear for our Big Ten lives. Michigan State will meat grind us again next week. :(
