i know they're lame, but i want a marion barber fathead

only i want to wrap myself in it like a blanket

If you got a king sized bed a Leonard Davis fathead would work as a comforter.

I like the rb tandem this year. Felix looked good.

Michael Smith was just on ESPN, saying that Bradys injury is major, and is probably done for the year. Supposedly the NE locker room was pretty somber after the game, and they all expect Brady to be done.

looked very good. gotta hope barber is ok, though we can survive with a jones/choice tandem for a week or two if we have to

who else is now eagerly anticipating bill simmons' whiny post-game column

it should be great.

much props to ryan for mentioning his desire to get cassel. one of my leagues does straight up FA instead of waivers, so i just grabbed him.

I don't think Barber is hurt bad. Sure something will be said tonight.

anyone else think they should do an early/late game EVERY Monday night? It's great for those of us out east who don't want to stay up till past midnight to watch football, and it gives the west-coasters a game that doesn't start at dinner time

Goodbye NE if Brady's done for the year.

i bet everyone thought the pats were sunk when blesdoe got hurt and brady had to come in.

Do you have faith in Matt Cassell?

I still think they'll be in the playoff hunt, but I don't see them as a Super Bowl threat now.

i don't really know. i'm sure everyone thought a 6th round pick coming in for a pro bowl qb would be a complete disaster. even if cassel is mediocre, if he's able to make the right decisions, i think he can look pretty damn good behind a great offensive line and with great wide receivers.

Should the Patriots call Culpepper?

They said during tonight's game that they're calling de-spleened Chris Simms.

I forgot all about him, that could be a move that actually pays off well.

if brady did indeed blow out his knee, the chargers need to fire norv turner immediately. they can definitely win the afc with a competent coach.

I'm perplexed by the turner hating. Was not getting to the AFC championship game (with a limping team) not good enough? With a healthy LT and/or Rivers that game looks a lot different.

So what if they lost game one of this season? The last three super bowl champions lost game one of the season. Only if they had a better coach, right?

Look, I'm not saying that he's the best coach ever or even that he is better than Schottenheimer. I'm just saying that he has talent to work with and he's a pretty smart football guy, especially offensively. Overall, I trust AJ Smith and the decisions he makes. He's built the chargers piece by piece and I trust that he's got the guy in charge that puts them in a good position to win.
