The last time that I checked the score at work, it was 8-1 Colorado. On the drive home from work I turned on WGN 720 just in time to hear the DP in the top of the 9th inning. I noticed that Ron and Pat sounded REALLY excited about the DP and I felt kind of confused....I was thinking they couldn't be that excited if the game was still a blowout. They had not mentioned the score of the game at that point. Then the next out was recorded and I hear Pat say Cubs Win....zomg wtf lol. \:D/

It was just uber cool to randomly tune in during the final 3 outs and not even realize the score or the inning.

Coincidentally, I had an email when I got home about 2 free days of MLB-TV premium so I'm watching the replay of the game right now. Awesomeness!

I NEED to hear Pat and Ron's reactions. Anyone have this?

EDIT: Posted

It's posted in the 5/30 post game thread in Cub Discussions. Ronny doesn't really go off like I expected he would. I think by the time they actually took the lead it was too surreal to believe.

I liked Bobby Hull's reaction, though. He was laughing like a little kid.

I'm gonna be a total buzzkill with this one, but lost in all this is Lilly's worst start of the year. That's something the Tedster is going to have to rectify. Can't have him blowing up in the early innings like that many more times.

What a game...heard the last couple on Xm...post game Santo was about to [expletive] and cry happy tears all at the same time. Wow what a performance by Cubs, Colo should be so embarrassed...what a mess they are after just going to playoffs recently. Geez.

He could start by not maxing out at 83 MPH.

That was a fun game to be at. Wow.

EDIT: also, i have to point out that I am the cubs good luck charm. I was at the gate when the cubs went down 8-0. I actually came in the stadium in the bottom of the fourth when the cubs scored their first run. Go me.

I was at Cedar Point on Wednesday and the Cubs got their first walk-off win of the year.

I was working today and the Cubs get their most incredible victory in years.

Nothing can possibly wipe the grin off my face at how good we are but that sorta sucks.

34-21 though. :D

Wow, is that all the harder he's throwing?

He's gotta be hiding an arm injury. Has to be. It was like when JoBo mysteriously lost 6 mph off of his fastball and everyone started killing him. He was playing injured and didn't tell anyone. I bet Lilly is the same way.

Dont ever compare

Me to the rest thatll all get sliced and diced

IDK if it's lost on anybody, or what, but does anybody realize the Cubs made this comeback, WITHOUT Derrek Lee, Geovany Soto, ARamis Ramirez, AND Ryan Theriot? Half the starting lineup was out of the game before the comeback happens, and the Cubs still won this game. That's soapdropping unbelievable. I think it goes to show A: How deep the Cubs starting lineup truly is. B: That even the Cubs can get lucky once in awhile and win this kind of game. C: That the Cubs bench maybe better then originally thought.

I also wants to give up props to the bullpen. Between Lieber/Eyre/Marmol/Wood, they combine to give up 2 runs in 6 innings, that kept the Cubs reasonably in the game until the offense got started. The fact that the Cubs pen only gave up 2 runs (and those belong to Lieber) on a day where baseballs were flying out like crazy, is mighty impressive.

Congrats to the bullpen for ONE HECK OF A JOB.

no, not a rickroll, an athlete who becomes batman (snickers ad)

I'd hate the Cubs so very much if i was a Rockies fan, the last 11 months have been ridiculous

also, I'm glad that comcast ondemand now shows Cubs games for free the night of the game. Being forced into Babies R Us during Cubs games sucks

I'm guessing that's also just for the Chicago viewing area, but you had me excited for a moment.
