I love that Lou made the right move by taking out Lee and Soto, the Cubs got back in the game and it probably should have bit him in the ass, and yet so far everything has worked out as well as it could have.

It worked out perfectly. Amazing.

I can't stand Wood as our closer. I never feel like the lead is safe.

This statement is so stupid I don't even know how to respond to it.

Go look up his peripherals and then get back to me.

Christ. Wood has been dominant. All closers blow some saves. Marmol can't pitch every inning of every close game.

Did we lose? Sham effing closer and his near sub 3 era suck.

I can't stand him either.

People will complain about anything. Do what I do and just laugh about it.

Wood's been about as good as anyone could have hoped. It's quite humorous how people still manage to complain about the job he's done up to this point.

Or maybe everyone on this board could quit being dicks to each other and calling out every post. All I said is "I" can't stand him. I never said "the Cubs" should pull him.

I'm planning on downloading it from mlb.com. I think it costs a couple of bucks.

Did Comcast do the game today?

I wonder if they will replay the game tonight?

According to their website, it will be replayed at 1:30 AM. I assume they would have shown it later this evening if they weren't also doing the White Sox game.

Anyone else remember the 10-9 win over the Rockies last season?

One good thing about mlb.tv is being able to watch the great games again.

I actually feel like the Cubs can win this game.

Not sure why

LOL. I do have to admit, however, that the optimism is slightly refreshing.

I get it he's your favorite player. Can't he not be mine? I just don't feel safe with him on the hill. Sue me.

He doesn't have to be your favorite, but what does he have to do for you to feel safe with him? His numbers are downright amazing. All of them. From HR's allowed to K:BB ratio, to K/9, to OPS against, to high leverage OPS, to RISP 2 outs, to close and late OPS against, to his overall control to his ERA +. What do you need from him? He's been way better than anyone expected if you look at his metics, pretty much any and all of them.

Thanks. I'm going to set this up when I get home.

For starters quit hitting or walking the leadoff hitter. Thta is my main thing. He always puts the pressure on himself and he doesn't need to. He has such good stuff, just throw your freaking fastball. Don't try and get so cute with your breaking ball.

not to pee in everyone's cheerios, but both of edmonds' big hits (homer, 2-run double) were hit on hanging breaking pitches. i still don't see the evidence that he can get around on a decent fastball.

He needs to be Marmol.

Now that the awesomeness has subsided a tad, we can all start feeling guilty that Jim Edmonds significantly aided the Cubs in winning a ballgame.
