I like this lineup we rolled out on 7/7/2005 against the Braves:

Hairston CF

Perez 2B

Ramirez 3B

Dubois LF

Burnitz RF

Walker 1B

Cedeno SS

Blanco C

Prior P

How did we do? We lost 6-0 on a 3 hit, 100 pitch, CG shutout by Horacio Ramirez.

Fun times.

To Dusty's credit, this was one of the games of a DH wasn't it?

Not the worst, but I liked it because we actually beat Brandon Webb with it last season.

Soriano

Theriot

Fontenot

Ramirez

Jones

Pagan

Moore

Kendall

Marquis

Yup, we beat Brandon Webb in a 6-2 win with that lineup and Jason Marquis on the mound.

Mike Fontenot hitting third is pretty hilarious.

Mine is from 2006

I'm too lazy to look it up, but I liked the time when David Weather got an emergency start for the Marlins during the hurricane fiasco and beat the real lineup in game 1, while the forfeit lineup beat Carl Pavano in his Cy Young caliber year in game 2.

It took 17 innings, but the Cubs won despite this starting lineup vs the Brewers five years ago yesterday on 5/15/03.

Goodwin CF

A Gonz SS

O'Leary RF

Alou LF

Karros 1B

L Harris 3B

R Martinez 2B

Miller C

That's a pretty sorry starting 1-8. Cubs batters including pinch hitters had 14 K to only 3 BB, and a dismal 12 for 62 at the plate.

The final runs were surrendered by former Cubs OF prospect-turned-pitcher, Brooks Kieschnick on a homer to Corey Patterson, his last of 5 ABs after PHing for Wood. Great duel between Kerry and Sheets.

Oh my god. When that's your top 3 you know it's going to be a bad day.

Holy crap.

Five years ago the Brewers were fielding forfeit lineups every day.

I'm so glad that's over with. Gollie, that was just brutal.

Was that the game where Wellemeyer got the save in his ML debut?
