This is a sad, sad day in Cubs history.

 

Its like they sold their soul.

 

I've often pontificated that the fates would require the death of Wrigley before they would grant a Cubs WS win.

 

This is so much worse that it almost guarantees that this is the year.

 

So the question is....is it worth it?...what would you give for a WS win?

Not a chance Lou doesn't split up the lefties. Whether it be moving Fukudome second, putting him between Lee and Ramirez, or moving Edmonds down, I'm 99.9% confident Lou will split them up in some way.

I have a bad feeling about this game. Had a good one about yesterday, but kept it to myself. Hopefully, airing my bad vibes with this one will help reverse the result.

 

Maddux is going to be tough. But Dempster should have a good go of it vs. the Padres RHs. I do worry about Giles, Gonzalez, and Freaking Gerut though. Gotta take what Maddux gives you. He's not that good anymore, and the Cubs should treat him like such, but I'm having flashbacks of Glavine and his 300th win last year.

According to both WSCR and ESPN1000, Edmonds is hitting 6th in the lineup today, and Fukudome is still 5th.

 

I'm guessing/hoping they're giving Soto a day off and that's why it is what it is.
