do we have an idea of who Arizonas pitching against us? If Randy Johnsons in the equation, Cubs may as well take the day off.

MLB has Haren (vs. Lilly), Scherzer (vs. Demps), and Johnson vs. Z

I'm not afraid of that last matchup at all.

1st match scares me to death. Depends on which Lilly we get.

2nd one too. Cubs usually dont have much luck the first time facing the latest rookie sensation.

3rd one, we have the clear advantage, but I cant remember the last time we beat Randy Johnson. Granted this is a much older, more broken down Unit, but the history is still there.

I'm going to that first game. Hopefully they find a way to take 2/3.

Isn't Johnson something like 13-0 against us lifetime?

he's only 12-0, but that all happened before he turned 73

Oh. Well that makes it so much better.

Randy Johnson really could be 73 pitching against the Cubs and he'd still scare me with his history against us.

Our best hope is his recent history. Chances are they'll find some kindof injury between now and then.

Volquez has yet to give up more than 1 run in a start. Oh good. God damn Texas Rangers. I guess he was given up on by the same organization who traded Chris Young and Adrian Gonzalez for scraps. That GM doesnt still have a job, does he?

I hate TV. All three games haven't been on WGN. More Reds Radio via XM I guess

Stupid, isn't it?

Here's the TV schedule for the Cubs/Padres series:

Game 1: CSN

Game 2: CSN

Game 3: WCIU

Game 4: CSN

A 4-game series, and not a single one is on WGN? BS

interesting that derosa is out again. i thought soto or ramirez would be good bets for a day off, but soriano makes sense too. i think i'd rather have derosa in LF instead of johnson though.

Why is DeRosa getting two days off in a row before an off day? I would really like him to not be hurt...

I'm guessing it's more about Cedeno getting 2 days on.

Why is Soto catching again? The kid's gonna hit a wall come August. Of course, I feel sorry for that wall.

He'd started all but one game this season at several positions. He's not an everyday player, and he's been struggling for about a week. He needs rest, and the fact that the Cedeno needs to play, it makes perfect sense to give him 3 days off in a row (counting the off day).

When is Lou going to move Fukudome to 2nd and Soto up to 5th?

Hopefully soon. I know theriot is doing well but I'd still trust Fuku more in the 2hole

Some people can never be happy! LOL.

One thing at a time. Getting the right people in the lineup has been a challenge so far for Lou. I wonder if Cedeno has another big game, would Lou throw him in there at SS on Friday. I'd imagine unless Derosa is hurt, he would play.

According to some, the only way that happens is if they find a LH 5th hitter to "protect" Ramirez.

Can you imagine if their rotation consisted of:

C. Young

Volquez

Danks

Milwood

Obviously their numbers wouldn't have looked as good in that park, but still.

Man, now I am mad about that too. Couldn't you just have let me find out about that one when we got there?
