Screw you Lou. This one is on you.

Yep, Wuertz and Lieber aren't at all at fault.

Wuertz didn't really do anything wrong. He came in and got a couple ground balls... it's not his fault they weren't hit at anybody.

The bullpen besides Marmol and Wood = the downfall of 2008 if there is one.

THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING OMG

if there is one.

The sky is far from falling. If there is a reason the Cubs fail this season, it will be the pen.

I don't have a problem with the way this inning was managed. Wuertz is a grounball pitcher...he got two ground balls. Unfortunately there was no double play. Marshall came in and did his only job for the night. Lieber throws a good slider and can also coax a double play fairly easily. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. The world isn't over. There are still 3 innings to go and the Cubs are still getting batters on base in almost every inning.

those weren't ground balls.

I don't think Lou was wrong in what he did. Bringing in Marshall was clearly a good move, and Leiber has been $$$ all year. Sometimes things just don't go your way.

The second one was a rope.

I don't think Wuertz pitched that poorly. He gave up two ground balls. If anyone thinks pitchers can control where a ground ball is hit, they're an idiot.

Yeah, back to back up the middle, a little to the right or left and at least one of them would have been an out and probably a dp
