good thing that was right at fukudome.

mercifully the inning has come to an end. since they were singles anyway, all runs should be earned, no?

how many of ted's runs were earned?

4

Really? 4 scored on errors....

That's what the box score says.

Exactly my issue with Cedeno....the bat doesn't make up for the defensive lapses.

Compared to who? Theriot doesn't get to that ball and two runs score either way.

I didn't say that Theriot would have gotten to that ball, but if he did, I doubt it ends up in the stands.

But he wouldn't have, so it's moot.

I'm not the one who brought up Theriot. Good stops fantastic, but if you throw it into the stands or into the dugout, it's a waste.

For the last time...Theriot doesn't even get to the ball in the first place, and the runs still score.

For the last time.....Cedeno makes too many terrible defensive plays to start. HE COULD HAVE HELD ONTO THE BALL.

Theriot isn't part of the question.

This game would have been a great time to get Howry going if we didn't crap the beds. Now we have to use the arms that Lou considers reliable. Heck, we might have to use Howry anyway if Hart can't last a few innings.

this just reeks of one of those classic "cubs get shoutout the rest of the way" games. fitting it to a "T"

It shouldn't matter if we get shut out the rest of the way, there is no reason you shouldn't win if you score 7 runs in a game and you have you're 2 starter out there

When we're arguing about whether Cedeno should start if the alternative is Theriot, he's definitely part of the question.

Yeah....I see that after I posted...I still question it though. The first error would've ended the inning if it'd been a good throw. Therefore everything after should be unearned if I'm thinking correctly.

Unearned runs occur when runners score who shouldn't. Those errors occured after base hits and scored on a triple.

One run would have scored, but you assume that the second run was a given. Soriano could have thrown him out...
