Interesting fact from this Pat Forde article.

Wisconsin fans enjoy railing at the perceived lack of respect accorded coach Bo Ryan, but let's examine his body of work in the NCAA tournament, when reputations are really made: His nine Big Dance victories have come over teams seeded 9th, 12th, 13th, 11th, 14th, 10th, 15th, 14th and 11th.

Memphis looked scary good last night. not saying i think they'll win it all, but that team is big and fast and MSU had no idea what to do against their defense.

Oh my god I just puked. I can't believe that's a commercial.

missed it was watching entourage during commercial's.

Just a commercial featuring Tyus Edney's drive for the win against Mizzou in the 1995 NCAA Tourney. As a Mizzou fan it hurts.

Wait, do you mean

:)

Wow, MSU.

*sigh*

at least we had awesome uniforms.

what were you, like 6-7 at the time that happened? it can't possibly hurt too much if that's the case.

The Memphis-Texas game should be very enjoyable. Hopefully Memphis can't shoot at that rate again.

Texas making me feel real secure about picking them all the way by dismantling a good Stanford team.

I haven't seen much of Stanford, but they didn't look good last night. Not to mention Brook Lopez has to be the ugliest looking player in the NCAA.

Not cool. I've known A.J. for eight years now. All his family looks like that.

"Xavier goes...MANTOMAN."

Raftery is awesome. Go UCLA and Louisville.

At least somebody was able to understand what the hell Raftery said right after the tip.

As for the winners, I wouldn't mind if Louisville and Xavier won today because it would kill about half the people in my group.

The refs aren't helping UCLA right now. They turned an obvious kick ball against Xavier into a clear path foul against UCLA.

Yep. But the ball doesn't lie. Xavier clanked both FT's and missed a wide-open 3 on that possession.

Top seeds need to win tonight. If I can beat my three roommates and one of the roommate's fiancee in our minipool, I get 2 bucks from each of them which will at least keep me from losing money this March (and I remain in first despite yesterday's carnage).

The officials have absolutely no consistency in this game. They're missing some really obvious fouls, calling some the wrong way, and making phantom calls on others. They also seem not to want to call any traveling violations.

You have no idea how they're going to call things each trip down the floor.

Two words: Ed Hightower.

Mbah a Moute's play has been huge for UCLA so far. They'll need him, too, considering both Keefe and Aboya have two fouls and they could be running short on big guys in the 2nd half.

How in the hell is he doing a game of this importance?
