Well, at least Tennessee's good enough for me to be dissapointed that they lost a Sweet 16 game.

 

Three years ago, it would have been a joke to even consider us making it this far.

Oh thank God. That was the most ridiculous second half ever. I'm pretty sure that I lost 10 years of my life there.

UCLA has been looking a lot more vulnerable than I would have predicted. They're arguably the best team in the country, and no worse than 3rd (I personally think they're 2nd behind Kansas), but they've struggled a lot more than they should have against a pretty tame schedule. I have them in my final game, and I still think they'll make it, but that's really only because they have a relatively easy road there. If they keep playing like they are, they could get into trouble pretty quick.

I'm pretty thoroughly convinced that it's mostly luck. There have been enough games that could have easily gone either way, and just happened to go in my favor. And despite my good showing so far, all it takes is one missed game to drop hundreds of spots, probably.

4 for 4 today. But I really need Davidson and MSU to pull off the upsets tomorrow to hurt everyone else.

Tomorrow, I need Michigan State, Stanford and Kansas to win for my bracket. I also would like Davidson to win since that game's a sunk cost anyway.

 

If MSU and Stanford win, making money will become highly likely for me since everyone has Memphis and Texas.

I need Wisconsin, Texas, Michigan State, and Kansas to win tomorrow for me. I have all 4 in my Elite 8, and was 3 for 4 tonight (had Duke rather than Xavier).

So just for kicks, I took a look at some of the leading brackets on ESPN. Good news! No one ahead of me has the exact same remaining picks as me, so I could conceivably win the whole thing (yeah, right). Bad news: there are three people who are tied with me who do have the exact same remaining picks, and one of them even has almost identical tiebreaker points. I chose UNC over UCLA in the final, 74-71. He has it 74-70. That's what I get for being too busy to compete in any smaller pools this year, I guess.

Four out of four last night; though none of the results were surprising. I could potentially get three more right tonight, but I kind of doubt it. Something unexpected has to happen.

 

While I agree that UNC has looked dominating, Louisville was sloppy and beat arguably the best No. 2 seed by 19 points (UNC beat a No. 4 by 21). Louisville also decimated Boise State and Oklahoma. While I picked Louisville over UNC, the Tar Heels have to be the favorites. Still, the Cards are really good and matchup pretty well with UNC. I expect a great game.

I got 3 of 4 right last night, and lost ground in the NSBB pool. I can still get 4 tonight, though. Kansas, Memphis, Texas, Wisconsin.
