lol, McFadden does not have near the agility and change of direction skills that Sanders had. He is the exception, not the rule.

Dude, I'm not saying McFadden won't be awesome, I'm just saying Mendenhall is more intimidating.

no, you said "who would you rather try to tackle?" i think most nfl players would rather try to tackle ron dayne than, say, barry sanders in his prime.

It's not a real good comparison though. You can't just look at a guy and go "he's ripped, he's more intimidating."

What will intimidate the hell out of teams is a running back posting up 250 yards against them. Much more so than a guy who has better muscle definition.

That said, I think Mendenhall is very good. But McFadden is a slightly better prospect, IMO.

yeah, barry sanders in his prime was way better than anti-lock brakes.

I mostly agree with truffle here, but Sanders had incredibly huge legs and ass. I think he still holds the squat record at OK state.

the problem with mcfadden is if he couldn't break leg tackles in college, the odds of him breaking many tackles in the pros are pretty low. no one should kid themselves and think mcfadden has strong legs.......he almost always went down as soon as his legs were hit in college

he had strong legs but not huge legs.

i guess if we're rating guys on most intimidating, then we should talk about mr. t or magnus ver magnusson.

but we aren't talking about intimidating, intimidating is the wrong word.

when you, as a linebacker, try to hit him, your eyes roll back in your skull and you lose control of your bodily functions and then you see darkness for an instant and then you try to go towards the light but it's too painful for your soul to move and then he steps on your face and outruns the secondary.

The most intimidating man in the world is probably Mariusz Pudzianowski. 4-time WSM winner, fourth degree black belt in Kyokushin karate, and a former professional boxer. He also weights 315lbs and has a 6-pack:

Teams. I didn't ask which player teams were going to be more intimidated by. I asked who would you, the guy sitting on an office swivel chair, rather tackle.

I asked "you" as in, members of this board. Truffle, you aren't an NFL player. You're a weather man. I'm not an NFL player either. I'm not tackling either of these dudes. I have zero chance one-on-one to bring them down. That said, I'd rather try to do it against the guy who has about 25 pounds less muscle running into me. Velocity and mass and what not. I'm going to get blown by either way, I'd rather have some run by me than through me.

My good natured, off hand comment had zero to do with who will be a better player or who would a defense rather face. Way to over think it though.

see that is your problem. i'd imagine that if i were on the field with them, i'd bring a gun or at least a two-by-four. i'd get 'em on the ground.
