Alge is supposedly close to signing with the Seahawks.

 Please don't happen...

Good news! Good news!

Again, no deal is done and not only that, but to say one is close isn't accurate either.

This is according to seahawkshuddle.com. I know nothing about them, but hopefully this is accurate.

They said Williams also said Alge's likely to visit one more team and won't make a decision until after that. I've read at the Tennessean website that the Seahawks are balking at a big money deal because of limited cap space and injury concerns.

"Chicago Bears QB's - 2007" isn't limited to Rex Grossman. Jackson without doubt is the worst QB in the NFL.

Nope, it's a virtual toss-up between him and Grossman and he's definitely better than Griese or Orton.

Let's see, he's also better than Chris Redman (ATL), maybe Todd Collins (WAS), Vinny Testaverde (CAR), maybe David Carr (CAR), maybe Daunte Culpepper (OAK), Gus Frerotte (STL), Charlie Frye (CLE), maybe Joey Harrington (ATL)...I don't feel like naming any more, though I'm sure there are more.

Jackson isn't a great QB at this point. But he's a decent young QB and may develop into something better - he might even get good at some point. That's more than you can say for Griese and Orton and probably Grossman too.

EDIT: By the way, all those QBs I listed started at least one game in 2007 (usually more than just one) and the team they started for is in parentheses.

You only listed the best Raiders QB. Don't know how you forgotthe joke of a starter known as Josh McCown.

Yeah, I guess since I listed two Falcon QBs and two Panther QBs I should have been fair and listed two Raider QBs. Sorry soccer. :D

The Saints signed CB Randall Gay to a four year deal.

The Saints now have Mike McKenzie, Gay, and Jason David at CB. Neither of those are all that impressive to me.

Rumor has the Cowboys leading the way for the services of Javon Walker.

Javon Walker and T.O. on the same team. lol.

Falcons signed Michael Turner to a six year deal with about 15 million guaranteed. This saves us from being baited into spending a lot of money on McFadden, and hopefully allows us to address our O-Line with the third pick. Adding Jake Long, Michael Turner, Henne/Flacco plus another second round pick would be a great offseason for us.

I remember people thinking that losing Jason David was going to hurt the Colts. Besides the fact he's not very good, they had a former first-round (Marlin Jackson) and second-round pick (Kelvin Hayden) to replace him.

Walker would be a good gamble for someone, assuming they know he'll likely get hurt.

Maybe it's just because the Colts can't stop Turner, but I think he's a really good back.

And it's been reported on a radio station that the Patriots have signed Moss to a 5 year, 52 million dollar deal with 25 million guaranteed. No guraantee on that one, so take it with a grain of salt.

Theres nothing about Moss on SI or ESPN, in fact on ESPN the story on Moss is that he and Culpepper are thinking about signing with the same team to try to "finish what they started in Minnesota"

Yeah, it sounds like the Moss rumors were just that, a rumor. It spread pretty fast. NFL Network did report earlier tonight that the Patriots and Moss were close to a deal. That part at least is on Rotoworld.

I think it was CBS that was talking about the Falcons taking Matt Ryan?!?! I'll see if I can find a link, but I'm sure that was the speculation on their pick.

Congratulations dew...Adam Schefter is reporting that Alge Crumpler has chosen the Titans.

=D> Heck yea! Just found it on the Tennessean website. Rumors of potential knee problems and drops last year worry me a bit, but he was a great weapon for the Falcons and hopefully he'll do similarly here.

Best of all, the Tennessean is reporting its just a two year deal - which I figured would be ideal given his age and injuries. Not officially finalized yet, but his agent is saying he's "guardedly optimistic" they'll complete it by Monday.

Every draft analyst it seems is extremely high on Matt Ryan and think he'll be the first QB taken (no idea why, there's probably two to three I'd take first). That would make it very likely he ends up a Falcon - and probably means a lot of playing time for Joey Harrington since Ryan's so raw.

Who would you take over Ryan?

I've never understood why Brohm fell off the face of the earth (besides Louisville's defense being terrible) and I might consider Woodson or even Ainge over him. I wouldn't take any QB in the top 5-10 though.

I know that it is a possibility for us to take Ryan, however I would prefer to focus on our lines. If I was Dimitroff I would take Jake Long if he is there, then Dorsey or Ellis if Long is gone. I dont particularly like Ryan, escpically with the third pick. We could find another QB in the second round that is just as good as him IMO. Hopefully Flacco is there for the first of our second round picks. If not, Woodson or Henne with the second of our picks.

Oh yea, If we could find a way to trade DeAngelo Hall for a first round pick, there would be a possibility that we could take Brohm there. I think he is the best QB prospect in the draft.

I agree about Brohm as the top QB in the draft - I have yet to figure out why he's been forgotten about.

Also, ya'll picked up Ben Hartsock today. Big time move for the Falcons. :D

NFL Network reporting the Raiders signed Gibril Wilson. This is a very good move in my opinion. He's a great tackler and his weak coverage skills should be hidden by Asomougha and other good cover DBs.

Looking at his stats I assume he is a blocking TE. Is this true? What should I expect out of him?

From what I saw of him as a Titan, he's a very good blocking tight end and will catch a ball or two. He's not a receiving threat by any means, though.

If you're happy with a good blocker who won't get his name mentioned much but will contribute, you'll like Hartsock. I think it was a good move by Atlanta.

If we could add a second recieving tjreat, I would have no problem with a good blocking tight end. However after Roddy White there are no threats to catch 4 or 5 balls a game. Our two other options are Michael Jenkins (a complete bust) and Laurent Robinson (a deep threat coming into his second year) but nobody else. I just wonder who is going to catch all the passes next year.
