Funny that the Bears are going to open up the season with 1-2 new WRs, a new starting RB, and a 2 headed QB competition.

Plus a new LT and a new left guard and someone who was on the line but hasn't played RT in a few years. Wow.

The Bears will likely be picking up a RB, unless they are dumb enough to guarantee a second round rookie a starting role before training camp begins.

I really hope that RB they pick up isn't Shaun Alexander. Who else is out there though?

My first choice would be to sign Kevin Jones and 2nd choice is Travis henry. Kevin Jones makes a lot of sense.

I'd go with Jones. Henry has reportedly fathered 9 children with 9 women. I doubt Angelo will want to take in another problem player.

The Bears need to sign a RB. Forte was drafted by Angelo, so he will probably be a Benson clone. Peterson is not NFL level talent.

I think it's only 8 women! In other news, the Bears signed WR Marcus Robinson, who signed in order to retire as a Bear. Well, there goes the mystery of what hat he will wear into the Hall of Fame!

Yeah, on paper Forte sounds like he's another Benson clone. Call me crazy for not having too much faith on us drafting good offensive players.

Twins?

Hopefully they already had someone in mind.

Forte is faster than Benson. He's longer and leaner. And most importantly he's not a beeyotch.

Sounds like a pretty rough year coming up. Oh well, maybe they'll suprise everyone who knows.

Just for the record: next time Jerry, when a good portion of the city is screaming at you not to draft a guy because he's trouble, how about listening for a change? Plenty of us smelled trouble with Benson on draft day back then, why couldn't our erstwhile general manager? When fans & media know about a guy's issues and call it out before the draft even happens, you'd think the guy who is making the decisions and has an army of professionals to advise him would be able to see it too. In short, this wasn't hard to forsee, many did when the pick was made.

I look forward to it. Its gonna go through some growing pains but if we get our running game back it should be mediocre - which is good enough.

In the words of Obama, its change we can believe in.

I supported Mike Williams for a while so I'm going to plead ignorance and say I don't know anything about football

Cya Benson. Too bad you blew chunks.

Have fun in the Canadian Football League.

That's better.

Either one is OK. He just doesn't deserve to stay in the NFL.

I don't see anyone (including the Raiders) gambling on an alcoholic, injury prone RB. Not to mention that I don't know of any alcoholic, injury prone RB's that ever amounted to anything decent in an NFL uniform.
