Jones is a more valuable prospect that Pie. And it looks like Seattle traded another big prospect that they did not want to trade for Bedard. Maybe Clement, Marrow, or Triunfel. If the Cubs wanted Bedard, it would have to have been Pie, Vitters, Colvin, etc...

Adam Jones is flying to Baltimore for a physical on Monday, suggesting the Orioles and Mariners have agreed to an Erik Bedard trade.

Jones said he's been told the deal is done, though he doesn't know who is going with him to Baltimore. Asked by the Seattle Times tonight, George Sherrill said he had heard nothing to suggest he's being included. Top prospects Chris Tillman, Jeff Clement, Carlos Triunfel and Wladimir Balentien are among the players whose names have come up in rumors.

BTW, one OH insider are saying this is a 4 for 1 deal and 1 other insider says that the Mariners fans are not going to like this deal, but are refusing to report the actual names due to the furor over last month and the fallout with their respective sources.

This has the potential to be a really, really good trade for the Orioles, especially if they can get a ML-ready pitching prospect in the deal. I'm pretty sure that one of the names will be Jeff Clement, as well.

Incidentally, weren't we discussing the unattractiveness of 4 for 1 player deals given the Orioles overstocked 40-man? Makes me think that it won't be four players going to the Orioles, especially if one of them is Clement.
