All the home teams win except Pittsburgh.

I'm going to miss Pit/Jax because I'll be on the way back from Toronto - a slight annoyance.

Straight-up.

I'll be very happy if both Seattle and Tampa Bay win, and all of your picks for that matter. The second week of the AFC would be outstanding.

those two NFC games are completely unwatchable

Not really, but they probably won't mind if you miss them.

Geez, you would expect a team that's 7-1 on the road to be a little better than 10-6 overall but hey, that's the Giants.

I've got Seattle, Jacksonville, NY Giants and San Diego.

Green Bay over Seattle

Dallas over NY Giants

Indy over San Diego

NE over Jacksonville

(I know, really original picking all the favorites)

GB over Dallas

Indy over NE

Indy over GB

i'll probably sleep through all the games; after all, it's a battle for second place and probably none of those teams will even make the conference semis.

Actually, I think 4 of them will make the conference semis :D

You could definitely see some ugly football though. I saw all of the Tennesee-San Diego game and part of the Pittsbugh-Jax game, and neither one was pretty whatsoever. I doubt the NFC games will be better. I'm not saying that some of them won't be good games, but this will definitely be old fashioned football weekend for the most part, especially when you add in the rain that's supposed to be in both Seattle and San Diego this weekend.

I'll take Seattle, Jax, Giants, and the Chargers.

I'm real impressed with Washington. They completely dominated Minnesota in one of the tougher places to play in the league with everything on the line. Then they dominated a Dallas team who actually played their starters for a little more than a half. They have some serious momentum right now and I expect them to beat Seattle.

Jacksonville over Pittsburgh. Seriously, who doesn't have that? The Giants-Bucs game is a toss-up. I've never been a big fan of resting your starters completely after you have clinched a playoff berth. I think the only team that had success with that was that Eagles team that made it to the Super Bowl a couple years ago. And San Diego should defeat Tennessee by two TD's.

While the "Playoffs?!?" quote gets more play, but I prefer his "We didn't do diddly-poo" line, what a hilarious classic.

The Titans had the Chargers beat the first time around until a very questionable "catch" by the San Diego receiver (can't remember who now) late in the fourth.

Granted, we blew a multi-score lead and are definitely very unlikely to win, but I doubt it'll be an easy win for the Chargers.

I'm praying for one win and then beat up on the Patriots so the Colts can beat them in the AFC Championship. That would make me happy.

EDIT: Lest I forget, the matchup also features one of the best coaches in the NFL (Fisher) against almost unquestionably the worst (Norv Turner). That might make a difference.

Yeah, I watched that game in the regular season (one of the better games this year). Tennessee did give that game away to the Chargers. I think that was the game that really set the Chargers on their way to their strong finish at the end of the season.

I really think San Diego has found out what kind of team they are and they actually remembered that they had the best player in the league in their backfield. They would have matched up better against Cleveland (their offense would've scored at least 40), but I still think they match up very well against Tennessee. Plus a San Diego team is due to win a playoff game, right?

I do think that it's the safest pick of the week - for whatever that's worth (probably not much).

Yeah, they'll most likely win but it just wouldn't surprise me much to see this team win a playoff game. They seem good about winning a game they shouldn't, and then playing like crap the next week.

The joy of a young football team I guess.

Go Seahawks! Time for all the rest Alexander got in season to be used in the post season! I love that I have been able to root for one of my team for several years now and actaully watch them in the playoffs!

San Diego better not lose another home playoff game.

Seattle

Jacksonville

San Diego

I'm leaning toward the Giants in the other game, but this game's really hard to call. Tampa's the only playoff team I haven't seen play a single down all year.

Pittsburgh/Jacksonville is one of those games where everyone is picking the road upset and the home team ends up coming out on top. I just feel it.

So my picks are

Seattle

NYG

Pittsburgh

SD

It's not a road upset. They dominated Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh 3 weeks ago. And the Jags are actually favored by 2. Steelers have way too many OL injuries, are missing their best run defender, and their DBs stink. Jacksonville could win by double digits.
