As I wrote to Colt...at least the Big East and PAC 10 all play each other.

 

true, but if all 6 of the BCS conferences had a championship game, then that would at least give you one "playoff" game to qualify 6 of the entrants into the BCS games.

 

The Pac-10 and BE don't need conference championship games because every team plays every other team in the conference. That is the playoff. The other conferences need championship games because each team doesn't play every other team. Sure, on the surface it doesn't seem fair that the Big 12/SEC/ACC have championship games but it's also not fair that Kansas didn't have to play Oklahoma or Texas this year. Play every team, and you don't need a championship game.

One of my good friends friends dad is a big time donor and he knows a ticket broker who got him about ten to fifteen tickets. My friend Jeff got a call from his friend Ryan saying he had a couple of extra tickets and if Jeff wanted them they're his. He said yes and called me up. Man we can not lose on Saturday now. Because the SEC teams are better than them!

 

But in reality: Location. Most of the bowl games are in the south with a lot of them being in the southeast. The closer proximity to the bowls means better traveling and more money for the bowl, so they want them.

I'm pretty much the only Illinois fan saying it, but I'm pulling harder for Washington so we can go to the Sugar Bowl. That drive to New Orleans is a lot easier/cheaper than the flight to Pasadena. Plus, New Year's in New Orleans has to be insane.

Not to take anything away from Illinois, but thats one of the most asinine things that could happen. And I've read that too. Just ridiculous that we'd get passed up just cause the Rose Bowl wants a Big Ten team. Anyways Illinois is gonna be good for the next few years so let's just let Mizzou go to a BCS bowl this year. Hopefully Mizzou just beats OU so we don't have to worry about this.
