Mizzou wins 77-74 after being down 14 in the second half. Wow.

That was the most excited I've been watching a game all year.

If we could beat the the Iowa State's and Nebraska's of the world we'd probably be an NCAA bubble team.

Heck of a performance. Didn't look rattled like KU did Wed night.

Haha, take that Beasleys. Nobody wins at Mizzou Arena. Except Kansas. And Nebraska when we have half our team. But except from that, NOBODY wins at Mizzou Arena.

UK got its FIRST road win today vs georgia. bradley left the game with about 8 or 9 minutes to go in the first half, meeks didn't play at all, and crawford was limping badly in the 2nd half, but they still pulled it out. they'd basically have to win the rest of the remaining schedule to get anywhere near an at-large bid (though UK's RPI jumped from 140 to 115 with the win today), but at least they're playing much better basketball in january compared to november/december.

UK will be back in 2009-2010.

Awwwww poor Coach K and the Duke fans arent happy with the refs, how sad. We all feel so sorry for you Coach K you whiny bastard.

missed it what happened?

were up by about 10 anyways right now. #2 much better than I would have thought we would be ranked at any time this season.

Ball State is now 3-17 and must win 6 of their last 11 games just to equal last year's worst season in program history. Man, I'm so happy I'm the school paper's beat writer.

We looked horrible in the 2nd half. Oh well.. a loss is good. I think these guys are getting too big of heads after the win vs KU.

Plus now KU is right back in the conference race.

Well, we were never out of it since we get a chance for payback in Allen. But now we control our destiny again.

ND wins 89-80 despite DePaul shooting 49 percent from the floor and 48 percent from three. The unbelievable Luke Harangody puts up 29 and 14. ND has now won 33 straight at home and is a solid 2nd in the Big East at 6-2.

SIU-Northern Iowa about to get underway in a couple of minutes. If we can somehow pull this road W off, we'll have a chance at getting our first extended winning streak of the season.

UConn takes down another ranked team, this time Pittsburgh 60-53. They've catapulted themselves from a bubble team to a #5 seed just in the last couple of weeks.

I still can't believe the teeth-gnashing over IU's loss to UConn.* Or people calling UConn a middle of the road Big East team. It was obvious from seeing them in person that they're a Sweet Sixteen type team. Honestly, they might be one of the best ten teams in the nation right now. What a roll they're on.

Nice win by Stanford. I think I was right to expect big things from them. And while I don't think UK can garner an at-large bid, short of winning out as was said on here, I stand by my 10-11 SEC wins prediction.

*That's not to say IU has beaten anyone of consequence or deserved their top-10 ranking. They didn't. UConn has had a much better season than IU at this point.

Wow, the Bay area schools come into Pullman and sweep the Washington St. Cougars. Not surprising from Stanford but the Cal game was surprising.

Huge win for the Hawks over Ohio State tonight, 53-48. Justin Johnson went 8-13 from 3 for 24 points plus 7 boards and 3 assists. Seth Gorney had 10 points, 7 boards, 4 assists. We held them under 40% shooting. When we don't turn the ball over we can beat anyone in the league at home as evidenced by MSU and OSU. Wisconsin coming up on Wednesday at home.

We're sitting at 4-6 in the league now. We should be able to win 3 home games against Northwestern, Michigan and Illinois which would get us to 7 wins. We definitely have a decent shot to win at Northwestern and Penn State. MSU will kill us. Wisconsin at home and Minnesota on the road are likely losses, but could possibly steal one.

I don't think anyone thought we had a shot at a .500 record in the Big Ten this year. Lickliter is the man. It's amazing how much more he's getting out of some of these guys than Alford ever did.

Tennessee wins another on the road against a ranked opponent. The score does not indicate it, but UT dominated this game. Next up: Florida comes to Thompson Boling Arena Tuesday night, when the Vols will be shooting for win #20 on the year.
