one more to thing to add: i've never liked vitale or anything, but i absolutely hate him after this game. he spent the entire second half talking about Tubby Smith and how UK fans should be ashamed for running him out of town and all that. UK should do anything in its power to keep him from calling another UK basketball game.

Trent Meacham has 20 1st half points off the Illini bench.

Weber State must really suck huh.

He had some great performances last year against lower conference teams then disappeared come Big 10 play. I'm hoping for some improvement, and that he can be the shooter off the bench that we haven't had since Jamar was an idiot.

Vitale does that crap in regards to Lavin all the time too. I hate it.

Ha you had me confused as hell thinking you made a double post. Im really just ready to get through this season, and get some of these incoming recruits here. Paul is really starting to soar up the rankings, and when its all said and done, he could be a hell of a get for Bruce.

I'm looking forward to watching IU @ SIU tonight. I don't expect IU to win though.

Go Salukis! Not just saying that as a U of I fan, but since I went to SIU for 2 years, I try to root for them as well.

Honestly I really dont know after seeing USC dominate SIU like they did. If Im the Salukis, I try and do the same thing to Gordon that Xavier did, but thats easier said than done. SIU needs a big game from Faulker, and SIU arena is sure to be crazy. Probably one of the best matchups Carbondale has seen in probably forever.

I give IU credit for going there. Might result in a loss, but should be a good learning experience in that environment.

Yea I really wish U of I and SIU could work something out especially now since SIU is a very good opponent. It would be alot of fun for the 2 schools, and the state of Illinois.

Yeah, I especially give IU credit for going there when they already went there once (I'm pretty sure it was the year IU went to the title game) a few years ago and get destroyed. Usually one loss like that to a mid-major and schools like IU go running, but they were willing to play Southern Illinois in Carbondale again.

I see this as a tight game, but IU has to start coming together as a team. They're still not on the same page, and if they continue to be that way it will be a long night with SIU's defense.

Harvard is beating Michigan early in the 2nd half.

The cupboard is awfully bare when it comes to talent on the Michigan b-ball team.

haha the holy cross coach took a nice shot at fordham in his blog:

St Joe's on Tuesday will be another great challenge in one of college basketball's best atmospheres. Anyone who saw their Syracuse and Gonzaga games knows that they are really good. When Phil Martelli and I set up the series we both said it was a natural, with two good Jesuit programs. Phil is one of those guys in the profession with no pretensions. This will be a good tough series, much like we had with Fordham. The difference is St Joe's is a lot better and Phil doesn't try to pretend the program is something it's not.

Honestly, I think IU is a much better than than SIU. SIU doesn't really have the guards to matchup up with Gordon and Ellis defensively, if they attack the rim. IU also has the size up front to give SIU some trouble. However, on the road and playing 2 players short (Crawford, Ratliff) it's gonna be a mighty tough win for the Hoosiers. Should be interesting.

ND dispatches another crap team, 76-65 over Eastern Michigan. Tuesday is the most important game of the season, as the Irish need to beat Kansas State or be 0-3 against their only half-decent OOC opponents.
