Good thing Cordero is getting work tonight. I mean, really, it was good that he rested in that 11 inning game last week vs. the Stros.

LOL, Brewers are stupid.

Pads need this game.

Hoffman will be in even though its not a save sit.

You might be right.

The Pads are likely to need all the rest of their games the way things are going.

If it knocks the D-bags out of the playoffs, all the better.

God yes. That's another team I cannot stand.

If the Cubs must face a team from the west, I would definitely prefer it be the Rockies, even though this whole beating the world thing they've got going on right now is certainly intimidating.

The pitching matchups still worry me this weekend. I'll be there for all 3, for better or worse. Zambrano needs to get out of his funk against Cincinnati. Arroyo has dominated the Cubs in the past, they got to him a little bit last week, but not too much. Derosa, Floyd, and Ramirez are the only players with decent numbers against him.

We need to win 1 game, and the Brewers lose 1.

And that's all. If the Pads were to take 2/3, which THEY will need or they're in trouble, then we could get swept and still win it.

I think they can win 1 game for sure. I just expect them to be tight games.

If they lose tonight....then, if we win ONE game, or they lose ONE game, then we are guaranteed at least a tie, correct?

Or we could just beat Cincy 2 of 3 and not worry about what the Brewers are doing.

No, if they lose, and the Cubs win one and they lose one, the Cubs win outright.

Yes. Magic number would be 1 to make sure of a tie and 2 to clinch after tonight if the Brewers lose.

No we would clinch the division.

No...I said "OR"...I don't think we win if its just OR....if we win one, and they sweep, its a tie...if they lose one and we get swept, its a tie....right?

It's only one of tho happening. If the Brewers lose today the Cubs magic number goes down to 2. Then if either the Cubs win or the Brewers lose once, it goes down to 1 which would mean the Cubs would, at worst, clinch a tie for the division.
