Not that I thought it was a good decision because I think you should try to clinch before you set up for the playoffs, but if the Brewers fall tonight maybe starting Trachsel to set up the rotation will pay off.

Still a 4-run lead in the bottom of the 7th. I'm not too worried yet.

 

Let's see if this next reliever craps the bed like the last one. Then I'll tell you if I'm worried.

Putting Doug Brocail in the game with a 7-run lead isn't really dumb.

 

He sucked, now he's been taken out. It happens.

looking at the 4 game series this WAS one of the 2 the brewers game on paper.

 

Yeah, this was the game the Brewers had to win. Maddux, Young, and Peavy against Capuano, Bush, and Suppan is going to be tough for the Brewers to win 2.

 

Now let's hold on Padres tonight...don't let them back in now.
