Can someone tell me why a couple of skid marks like James Loney and Andrew Ethier can hit, but this $100 million team can't???

post of the day.

The Dodgers team we're playing is absolute crap.

Dempster's been great. This was overdue.

It just blows it had to come in a game like this.

Yep, he's done a good job this year. Now it's up to his teammates to pick him up and score some runs in the 9th.

How many times do I have to tell you guys that Dempster sucks and he shouldn't be closing games.

Eventually you're going to be right, but he's done just fine. Closers blow saves sometimes. Part of the game.

Too bad his had to happen at one of the worst possible moments of the season. This one has the Mets game in 2004 written all over it.

They get to play against the Cubs, and our $100 million team doesn't.

Unbelievable. This feels like that one Rockies game in the 9th inning.

Not even close we had a 5 or 6 run lead in that game.

Cardinal fans erupt in cheers after the score was shown that the Dodgers took the 6-4 lead.

Makes me sick.

Earlier they made fun of a heavy set gentleman in cubs gear. They are a classy organization no doubt about it.

Best fans in baseball

Enough with the overreactions, Dempster has pitched great. He got the desired result on the 2nd batter, it was a matter of inches from being a double play ball.

Then he gave up a fly ball that doesn't get out unless the wind is howling out.

It happens, but he hasn't pitched terribly.

I would hardly consider Loney and Ethier to be "skid marks".

The season's not over, but this one will really hurt, even if the Pirates come back and win.

this season IS over. You think the Cubs are going to hold off 2 teams with them blowing leads and not scoring runs?

Their offense has been sleeping for a month.

I wish we could call them our skid marks. Give me Kemp too.

They are? They're better than everyone in the Central.

Oh and if you think Loney is bad, you have no clue. Then again that shouldn't surprise me.

If Dempster can pitch the 8th or 7th, Marmol should become the closer or at least get a shot.

Yeah, until he blows a save. Then let's go back to Dempster.

they are compared to the guys the Cubs have.

Also, Ramirez should never have been used so early, and Lou's gonna regret it.

This season is over on September 30th. Until then, we're still the best of the 3 crappy teams vying for the division.

Marmol rarely gives up hits in his innings, Demp gets into jams every 2 or 3 save ops.

Even if the Cards lose...we still lose our sole posession of first.

Yippee.....too bad we should have a four game lead right now.
