I don't know whats worse...the fans that go overboard and overreact about every single thing that happens in the game, or the people who call them out when they know the game thread is just a glorified emotional outlet for Cubs games.

lol, this game thread has gone far beyond an emotional outlet. i honestly think tears have been shed.

take a deep breath, change your diaper, and think about what you've posted.

haha damn stats

i know, they always ruin a good, tear-filled game thread temper tantrum.

Sorry for getting worked up during a Cubs game. It my come as surprise to you, but not everyone just sits there and lifelessly watches a game like you apparently do. I get happy as a kid on Christmas and incredibly pissed too while watching a game.

hill is pitching well tonight.

actually he is, he's just been unlucky with balls in play and hasn't helped himself with his fielding.

i wasn't being sarcastic. he has had some of the nastiest breaking stuff i've ever seen him throw.

fastball has also looked good. The Brewers have a .400 BABIP for the game, and have gotten a couple of really lucky hits at the right time.

exactly. i know game threads are emotional, but this one has been nuts.

and what's funny is that he was one really lucky hit from giving up 1 ER in 5 IP. So 3 ER in 5 IP is garbage, but 1 ER in 5 IP is really good, so that one seeing-eye blooper determined that Hill's outing tonight was garbage rather than really good.

lol see even if he had given up 1 run in 5 innings which is pretty good, we'd still be losing. But its alot easier calling him moron, idiot, and such when all you are doing is making yourself look like one.

Shut the hell up.

Drop it and consider this your only warning.

Warn the guy that doesn't think Rich Hill is God for telling someone to shut up, but don't say a word about the "Rich Hill is God" fan club member who calls me an idiot and a moron. Can't say I'm surprised.

I didnt call you one, I said your own statements are making you look like one, there is a difference.

Either way, knock off the attempted loopholes around member guidelines.

lol Not looking for loopholes or whatever, but ok whatever man

One lucky hit or one terrible 0-2 pitch that hit Weeks. Depends on how you look at it.

I doubt you are looking for it but it is a loophole in the rules and still have bad intent. The game thread is already filled with angry posters, no need to incite things anymore.

Take a hornets nest, shake it up, then have someone show up and plop a grenade down.

That's a game thread when the Cubs are sucking.

Oh I wasn't referring to the comment about Hill. He's not the Cubs best pitcher. I was just referring to the passionate comments I made.

For the record, I would be getting much less worked up about this game if the Cardinals weren't breathing down both of our necks.

even if it's just a regular inside pitch, there's no guarantee that weeks doesn't get a hit there. Kendall wanted the pitch inside; Hill missed his spot by a foot and ended up hitting Weeks. All in all he's done a really good job of putting his pitches where he wanted them tonight; that's about all you can do.
