I think people are getting on Rich because he is respoonsible for the 3 runs, and the lack of runs scored by the Cubs.

 

If Rich catches the 2 hopper hit back to him by Hardy, then hardy doesn't score.

 

If he gets a bunt down, something that should be asy to do, Soriano drives him in on the fly to right.

 

If he doesn't plunk Weeks with an 0-2 pitch, he doesn't score.

 

I realize the outcomes could have been different in every scenario, but he's made his share of mistakes tonight.
