FSU is going to get the ball back with around 35 seconds left as Clemson will be punting.

FSU loses and the Clemson fans tried twice unsuccessfully to run out onto the field, only to finally get to stay on the third try.

The Noles may have a long, long year.

Charlie Weis announced today that Jimmy Clausen will get the nod against Penn State, and also said that if not for his elbow procedure from the summer he'd likely have been #1 all along.

Look for Demetrius Jones to transfer.

Don't know if anybody has seen or mentioned this but Michigan has completely dropped out of the Coaches Poll.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankings?pollId=2&seasonYear=2007&weekNumber=2

And Michigan dropped out of the AP poll also.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankings?pollId=1&seasonYear=2007&weekNumber=2

They are tied for 32nd in the AP poll and 27th in the Coaches Poll.

And I just heard on College Football Live (which answered a question I was about to ask) that Michigan is the first team to drop from the top 5 in the polls one week to completely unranked the next week.

Argh, Clemson, BC, and Georgia Tech leapfrog Mizzou to keep them out of the Top 25. Stupid media respect for FSU and Notre Dame, grumble, grumble, grumble.

You really think Mizzou looked more impressive than Clemson, BC, or Georgia Tech?

Penn State up to the 14/15 level. about right considering they played arguably the worst 1-A school in the country. beating the snot out of ND will help some, but i don't think that win will look that impressive come November

Yay, up 3 and 1 for beating an awful Stanford team.

I think you'd be better off playing ND in November than now as far as prestige of the win goes. Media is all over them now losing to a Tech team that wasn't that highly thought of. By November they may be a 500 team that people could call surging.

No idea, I didn't see any of them play. I was half-kidding anyway, hence the grumbles.

i just meant that after ND loses to Michigan, Purdue, USC, etc., it's not going to be impressive at all

I agree.

I also enjoy seeing Michigan completely falling out of the top 25.

if Michigan really kill Oregon, I can see the stupid voters bringing them right back to the low teens again

Dixon is going to be even harder to handle than that dude from A State. Michigan is going down again.

I am pretty sure that I seen that Michigan was favored by 8 this weekend. I may be wrong though.

Correct. The various books listed on USAtoday.com had either 8 or 8.5 as the spread.

I don't know how good Purdue really is yet (and probably won't until they play ND since they always schedule nobodies in front of us) but I doubt we lose to them.

How much were they favored by last week?

Michigan won't lose this week. I would be absolutely stunned. Not saying they're great, but they'll win this week.

If they don't then it's really over.

I think they will win, but I'm not totally sure of it either after App State.

I was thinking that under the same conditions (1st game, I-AA Champs App State, team not expecting a fight) that some of the teams Michigan just fell behind in the polls would have lost, too.
