I'm not so sure this is "bad Zambrano" we're seeing. I noticed in his last start against the Stros his velocity was way down. I haven't watched much of this game, but he's getting hit hard yet again. I think we might be seeing injured zambrano, but that's just me.

Aram and Dlee just went back to back <3

This is the end

It was the end when Hendry did nothing at the deadline.

Don't think he had the resources to

Dang out Pie and see what you get.

I know I'm going to get killed for this, but this is his last year probably here. Go for the throat while you have a decent time. Do what the Braves did.

I think he meant the $$$ to pay the incoming players.

I don't buy that for a minute.

Why?

They would have added payroll. He had to get expiring contracts. Go get Dunn. He opts out after the year and the club isn't stuck paying for him.

Makes too much sense.

Who says Dunn was available to the Cubs at a reasonable price? Do you just wnat to throw whatever they ask at the Reds just to get the deal done? Do you think the Cubs are one Adam Dunn away from winning the World Series? If so, would the investment be a huge waste of our future if Dunn somehow doesn't lead the team to a world series win and walks after the season?

cool, i was waiting for the first "is zambrano injured" post in this thread. It's much like the "Rich Hill is a head case" post in any bad start that he has... you know it's gonna happen, it's just a matter of when.

Nice prematures guys.

This game ain't over.

Yes it is

It's not over if we can hold them, but I highly doubt that.

Yeah, our starting pitching hasn't been pitching like absolute crap for 4 innings. It's obviously not impossible to come back, but don't pretend like the Cubs weren't shoveling out tons of crap so far.

Oh, hey, look...Zambrano gives out another hit...a double with no outs.

Would you rather go down swinging or not?
