Z is going to dominate tonight. Cubs win 5-1

I have a terrible feeling about this. I have a feeling Z going to give up at least 5 tonight.

Well, I guess I'll change it then. Z pitches 5 innings giving up five runs, Dempster gives up 5 runs in the sixth, and the Cubs, down 10-0 in the ninth, make an amazing comeback and win 14-10 on a Lee grand slam.

Is that better?

Is Lee's grand slam inside-the-park?

Yes, because Dunn can't field worth crap.

That and Lee doesn't hit Homeruns...Speaking of that I was shocked that Ortiz only has 19 homers?

I may be completely making this up, but I thought I read somewhere that Ortiz is playing hurt.

I heard that too. I heard it was his knee.

Ahhh...Makes sense.

This is how its gonna happen...

Cubs go down 4-0 within 3 innings and the NSBB goes into a frenzy, resulting in numerous "Season's Over" and "Game over" posts. Then the Cubs respond with a 6 run inning with Ward hitting a bases clearing double to give the Cubbies the lead. Cubs tack on 3 more and the final is 9-5 Cubs. YAY

Mine was more dramatic.

But brewers win too so calls of "season's over" remain.

As I've stated... none of this will happen because both pitchers are on my Fantasy team.

Zambrano: W (15-8)

IP: 9.0

H: 0

ER: 0

BB: 0

Harang: L

IP: 9.0

H: 0

ER: 0

BB: 0

Final Score 1-0 Cubs win.

Reds commit 2 errors in the first allowing someone to score.

Good day for me.

Are you really that lucky?

The Reds announcers are talking about how Harang is better than Big Z since Harang doesn't show his emotions on the mound.

They drive me nuts since they seem to get it 80% of the time, and the other 20% of the time they're totally loopy.

No, he's better because he is better.

where's all the game thread people? i will not ask for pbp for fear of truffle shuffle backlash.

Here's your pbp:

Z weasels out of the first with a 21 PC. Walk, 2 hits given up.

Harang KKK 14 pitches.

UGH

It's nice to see that "75 pitch first inning Carlos" has returned after a one start absence.

It's not just Z. Every one of our starters always have a rough first inning.

Why are the brewers honoring a team that didn't win it all? They are trying so hard to make this season more special than it really is.

It's their 25th anniversary. The White Sox honored the South Side Hitmen a while back and they didn't even make the playoffs. The '69 team is honored endlessly by us.

By us as in fans. We haven't done anything officially with them have we?
