Why are the brewers honoring a team that didn't win it all? They are trying so hard to make this season more special than it really is.

 

It's their 25th anniversary. The White Sox honored the South Side Hitmen a while back and they didn't even make the playoffs. The '69 team is honored endlessly by us.

By us as in fans. We haven't done anything officially with them have we?

 

I wouldn't be shocked if something was done for them in '94 or '89. I don't remember though.
