The Baby Bears of Chicago hope to rebound after an amazing display of medicority over the course of the last 2 days. Hopefully Sleepy can stay awake for a 6 innings without lazily throwing some meatballs that are destined to land in the juicebox stands.

I remember Williams shut us down on the home opener this season. Maybe we'll put a 2 spot up against him.

Crap, he's only allowed 2 runs both times he's faced us (4/9 & 6/11) but he didn't get the win either time. After their bullpen surrendered an unearned run to tie the game at 3, Howry gave up the lead in the first game (and got the loss by giving up a 2 run homer to Everett. Definitely a game to forget) and Z won the second matchup with 8 innings of 1 run ball. He also homered to win 2-1.

This guy is due to get blasted by the Cubs.

We also have acquired the secret weapon against Woody Williams-Jason Kendall. He better not sit tomorrow. He is 18/35 against Williams on his career! I rarely if ever see a hitter who is over .500 against a pitcher in that many at-bats.

It also would be a good day to give DeRosa off. He is 1/10 against Williams, and Fontenot is 2/3 against him.

Since we already know EPatt is playing tomorrow, it looks like:

EPatt

Theriot

Lee

Ramirez

Floyd

Fontenot

Jones

Kendall

Marshall

Personally, I'd move Kendall up in the lineup tomorrow. He has now extended his on base streak to 10 games, and in 7 of those got on base at least twice. Combine that with his numbers against Williams, and he should really move up in the order.

Chicago Cubs Vs. Woody Williams

I really don't understand why Cubs will have trouble scoring in this game. Just look at the Top 4 guys with the most ABs against Williams... But they're the Cubs... so they will have to tip their cap again.

Houston Astros Vs. Sean Marshall

Yeesh... Chris Burke.

and again for the fanatics...

Houston Astros Vs. Kerry Wood

Unless Marshall goes a strong 7-8, hopefully we'll see Woody!

As I said in the last thread, no more re-sizing. The letters become blurry. if the page stretches, an avatar (or more than one) is too wide, or your monitor/resolution is too small. I've blocked every avatar with the Adblock extension on FireFox and it does not stretch for me.

My boy's got this.

Whether the offense does or not is another story completely.

Dear Cubbies;

Its only been 2 games, but feels like more... so please, Cubs, don't blow it tonight. Also, we can't keep on counting on the Beermakers to keep pace with your losses, so depending on that is not a realistic option.

Let's try and notch a mark in the LEFT hand column this evening.

Thanks.

Yours Truly,

A rookie positional call up can have a positive impact, right? Its allowed isn't it?

Lou already said last night that it will be Theriot leading off and EPatt hitting 2nd.
