He hit another one last night. This guy is ridiculous. He doesn't even have a muscular build. He's just a guy -- and he pounds out HRs like there's no tomorrow.

Is there anyone who should be ROY over Braun, provided he continues on this pace?

Christ this guy is making me freak out. He didn't even make it out of ST!! Where's our Braun, Mr. Hendry?

The knock on Braun has never been his hitting; it's always been his defense. For his entire minor league career, Braun's been knocking the crap out of the ball (he did struggle a bit in High A in 2006, but that was after mowing through Rookie and Low A in 2005).

Braun will cool off a bit as pitchers adjust to him, but his hitting prowess and power isn't a fluke.

Ryan Braun now has more home runs than anyone on the Cubs.

He's been up since May 25.

He probably has almost as many HR against LHP as anyone on the Cubs does period.

3-4 with another HR and 3 more RBI's today.

And the Brewers got swept in a DH. I hope he continues to hit the hell out of the ball since hes on my fantasy team, but I also hope the Brewers keep losing along with his hot hitting.

That's why I put up the cry emoticon. I am sad because of our lack of power.

Well crap. I can't read that forum from work anymore. It's blocked for some reason. Is it forwarding to a different address than it had been?

They must have changed something since Monday. It was the same old board on Sunday but when I got back to civilization (a computer) yesterday it looked a bit different.

I'm not real familiar with message boards and the technical stuff, but there is some yuku stuff on the main page. So I'm assuming it's yuku and no longer ezboard.

I was reading something on their page - them being better that the Cubs haven't suffered many injuries this year - but you know what? One thing Hendry did that was good, was to built a team of guys who are generally less prone to injuries. Marquis isn't good, but he's durable. Zambrano and Lilly are good for 30+ starts most years, and Rich Hill's health has never been a question. Outside of last year, Lee is always healthy, as are Soriano, Jones, Murton, and a bunch of other guys.

In general, the guys you'd expect to get hurt - Floyd, Prior, Wood, even Dempster - have gotten hurt. The guys you'd expect to be healthy have been healthy. Yeah, freak injuries can happen, but some guys are just more durable than others. I'm just glad we're not built out of team of Glass Joes like we were last season.

Hahahah, these guys are all despondent, talking about how they have no chance to win the division.

Its nice seeing it in another team and not our own.

Bill Michaels just said on WTMJ that one of the players told him "We aren't waiting for Ned Yost, we are going to have to win this thing ourselves". I guess that statement could be interpreted in a number of ways. but it was interesting.

I don't think Yost is going anywhere. The Brewers GM was on ESPN last night and was raving about Yost. Should be really interesting.

anybody got any stats to show that Braun isn't this good?

please.

His BABIP is about 80 points higher than it should be. His line against RHP is .293/.325/.484/.809

So he's just pretty good against RHP, that's good to know. If his numbers against LHP ever drop even to just 98-02 Sosa levels, he might get held to less than 600 HR in his career.
