Not to derail this thread further, but did anybody see Tino Martinez's debut on Baseball Tonight about a week or so ago? I'm not sure if it was the deer-in-the-headlights look or his stilted delivery, but either way he quickly became my least favorite new guy to be added to ESPN's payroll. Why isn't an Eric Karros or AL Leiter taking Kruk or Reynolds place on that set? I saw that, the Tino Martinez debut, boy that was real hard to watch. He sounds about as bad as the Anheiser-Busch commercial guy "some beers are brewed for taste, some are brewed for... etc etc" that guy is about as boring as they come, with Tino coming in at a close second. Out of all the Baseball Tonight guys, I tend to like Jeff Brantley the most. He seems fairly knowledgeable and he says whatever is on his mind, though I don't always agree with it. It's nice to hear someone speak their mind. I remember a game last year where he was pissing and moaning about Ozzie Guillen not bringing in Dustin Hermanson and he ended up being right about it and he kept going on and on.
