Theriot 2B

Lee 1B

Ramirez 3B

Jones RF

Izzy SS

Hill C

Pie CF

Darn noboy bit.

Don't you ever do that again. If the real lineup hadn't been posted right after that, I almost might've believed you.

Yeah it was a shame I didn't do it earlier. 8-)

I was just skimming through page 8 only and saw this. I was about to blow a gasket when I seen the truth. So you did get someone

Sweet. 8-)

I like the lineup. Probably the best we can field.

Kick some ass Cubs.

Except Pie should not hit 8th ever. Hello breaking balls galore

Then where are you going to hit him? at the 2 spot? No....I'd rather have Fontenot there. So sorry Pie has to hit 8th. Maybe they could have moved him to 7th.

Yes you put him 7th or maybe even 6th with Dero batting behind him. Putting a rookie with questionable plate discipline in the 8th slot is not doing him any favors, so sorry no Pie doesnt have to hit 8th.

Pie is going to get breaking balls no matter where he hits.

Not as many if he has somewhat of a competant hitter behind him

Um...

Pie should probably learn to hit breaking balls. And if he can't, he probably shouldn't be in the big leagues in the first place.

I don't know. If I am pitching against him that is all I would throw. Its not like he's shown the ability to take those kind of pitches. He's going to get them regardless.

I would rather him hit 7th also but I really don't think it's as big of a difference as you're making it out to be. It's not like teams are scared of Rob Bowen coming up with men on base. Whether he bats 7th or 8th he's going to see a lot of junk and they're going to try to get him to expand his zone. The difference in the way they'll pitch him in those spots is negligible in my opinion.

Thats why I said the best spot would be 6th with Derosa behind him

I'm in class all day today, except for 2-3pm central time... I'm going to keep gameday on the computer and a headphone in the ear.

Except with Pie's struggles right now that hurts the team to bat him 6th. Putting a guy who is 5 for his last 40 (3 BB's, 10 K's in that span) 6th will mean more failures for the team with runners on base.

I got three hours of sleep last night and had a test this morning... so I am completely freaking drained. I'll be happy if I make it through the entire game.

The last thing I saw was that you said he should hit 7th with Bowen behind him.

Regardless it's not the job of Lou and the rest of the team to completely cater to Felix. They're trying to win games and it doesn't make the most sense to put a 2-35 in front of a guy who is raking and likely will hit better for the rest of the year. Work with him on the things he has to improve and give him regular playing time. That's their only obligation.

I work 3rd shift and Ive been up since 4 pm yesterday and worked 10 hours in there, so I would gladly take 3 hours of sleep. However my 3 year old son, and the Cubs game are going to put that off for awhile.
