Too slow! :P

That's what I get for actually predicting who would hit the DL.

Yes. Florida HS

Then this is quite an achievement to me. He made it to the Big leagues in under 3 years sense being drafted.

I wounder what the fastest time to be called-up is for a high school player???? 3 years is very impressive.

correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't andruw jones 19 when he was called up

I do believe so.

honestly, there are probably a couple HS players each year who could hold their own in the majors (Brett Anderson and Clayton Kershaw last year) but no one rushes them anymore.

First, congrats to Peoriachiefs, Sean and the rest of the Gallagher family. I'm very excited for this move as Gallagher has been one of my favorite minor leaguers since reading about after his acquisition. It's also indescribably cool that a Chicago Cub's player's father posts on NSBB.

Second, why do I have a feeling we're going to be disappointed by the accompanying move?

Still no info yet? That's surprising. Wonder when the Cubs will release who's going on the DL.

Congrats to Sean.

Here's hoping Bruce was joking when he said it wasn't Eyre on the way out.

I saw him in the dugout earlier

well I just read all 9 pages and i'm pretty upset that it turns out no one will be traded. I was REALLY hoping jones/eyre was on their way out.

however, CONGRATULATIONS to Sean and his father. Yay.

Seems likely that it's Howry.

He hasn't pitched in a few days and his arm is probably barely hanging on after having been abused by Crusty.

Damn. I would be content with Jacque being gone but I have a feeling it's going to be a pitcher.

with the family heading straight to Atlanta, seems Sean will not be pitching in Milwaukee. that makes me think nothing will be announced for a couple of days.

It pretty much has to be a pitcher. Otherwise, we'd have 13 pitchers on the team.

In the dugout? I wonder why he wasn't in the pen.

Relief pitchers usually spend the first couple innings in the dugout. They go back and forth between the dugout and bullpen quite a bit during the first couple innings.
